tat means change to mid muffler then i can reduce the overall noise as the bassy effect,rite?i afraid after change oso same,then waste money again lo..haiz..i afraid the main problem is due to s flow is 2 folds onli lo..anyway,i will go survey the price of mid muffler on 2moro..if below RM150 then direct install ady..i cant tahan the bass sound along the way lo..

Snorkel? U mean CAI or Cold Air Intake. They just channel the cold air from outside into the air filter mah. As u know our engine bay is hot, the air that is taken in by the air intake is also hot thus affecting FC & performance. If i'm not mistaken should be around 1-2 HP gain, but damn ugly lor 1 hole at the bumper..

Tai sei... I also tapau Civic EK before at Duke.. 170 KM/h that fella cannot push d.. I cucuk, go side by side, wave wave at him & then pickup to 190 to overtake him..

U want an ultimate mod? U don't even need to mod ur engine at all to win ppl like them. Just put a bloody hot gal in ur car, naked. When they pass by u make sure u let them pass by on the left, then ask the gal to flash. Guaranteed slow down and even crash, instant win for u.

2 things u can try (if installation is free). Change back to stock muffler; u'll definitely get the tin kosong effect. Lagi sakit hati. OR, remove 9 inch bullet sumbat a muffler in.

cause i see a persona parked under my apartment got that mod. But his is a baseline, so can use the foglight socket for the CAI.. if use this need to change to open pod or our ori air intake can still remain?

R u think change mid muffler mostly can solve the noise?the ek tat u tapau i think is 1.6 sohc lo.,the civic tat i kena tapau is manual somemore and i think sure ady change engine ady..the civic kena tapau by me b4 tis is auto,and i think is sohc onli..tats why i can tapau him so easily

This 1 is open pod, but mostly known as CAI. The hole in the bumper is supposed to channel cold air into the engine bay so that this open pod filter can suck up all the cold air. Unless u can find a way to channel or do piping for the hole to go straight to our stock air intake, then I suppose open pod is necessary for ultimate effect.

ya,last day i tried wit stock muffler ady,,tin kosong effect very strong..i think i will follow ur way,to install mid muffler instead the bullet..will affect performance?i realized i always terpaksa drive slow due to workplace so near my house,my car was not power when i wanna push juz nw lo..last time went genting rev kao kao,after few day the power very nice..but all change bec to no power again after few day..maybe ecu always adapt the way v drive lo..

Nope.. That fella 1.6 sohc manual.. But his manual kena tapau by my auto also should feel malu rite? Yea, can solve the noise.. But if u have doubts, go change ur rear muffler back to stock first..

Yes. Open pod is another term used to describe CAI, but CAI would not be complete without an inlet channeling cold air from outside, or a heatshield to separate the air filter from the engine heat.

that is one of the item, CAI is actually a set up. Where they create a set up to channel more cool air in to the engine.
Example you can see some 4x4 got a snorkel attached on top, or subaru got a hole on the bonnet...etc... correct me if i'm wrong, coz this is base on my own understanding

I just got mine open pod air filter. But still thinking whether need to install or not, since sifu-sifu here mentioned on the hot air inside our engine. I do looked at the air intake hose into the engine. There is quite a bit space on the right side. That space is much more cooler compare to the radiator fan there, i meant front part of the car.

I am driving persona, not Elegance type. 1.5 yrs d.

Ur required setup: HotBits 4-2-1 Extractor + 12" swirling bullet + mid muffler + S-flow.

Have u been to any TTs or heard my exhaust note before? I don't know what is too noisy for u, but I feel mine is ok. Still trying to figure out how to silence out the swirling bullet noise. Maybe by changing to a better swirling bullet. The bullet only makes noise when I'm accelerating. The muffler doesn't (at least not noticeable).
