Hah! U kena con... XD

Which SC u went to? They shouldn't charge u anything to check for noises. And ur car under warranty FoC for service only till 10K kms.

laugh.gif LOL!!! Hahahahahahaha.....

Fenrir, did u notice how ur front brakes are different from the back ones? The brake pads are wear & tear items; they clamp onto ur brake discs when u step on the brake pedal & therefore slow the car down. Only H-line have front & back disc brakes, our M & B line only front disc brakes, rear drum brakes. For drum brakes we're using brake shoes, not brake pads. Yet to find a supplier for a good high performance brake shoes. Will do so soon.

BULK ORDER V5

Rapid Stop 550'C Brake Pads. Front only, RM 130. For H-Line owners with rear disc brakes, if you want the rear brake pads as well I'll have to ask for a different quotation from the dealer. For now the bulk is for front brake pads only.

user posted image

Pros of RS:
1. Higher working temp.
2. Doesn't need to warm up first every time u start ur car to provide immense braking power.
3. Less fading, lasts longer.
4. Less brake dust than OEM pads.
5. Price.

Cons of RS:
1. Needs bedding in.
2. Not so well known like MKT.
3. Can be spongy if not bed in correctly.

If possible, a TT will be held where buyers will be given their brake pads and will be taught on how to bed in the brake pads accordingly & evenly.

RM 130 only, need at least 10 members here to get bulk price. Might be able to get cheaper if more people join the bulk.

2. K.Lee
3. onijoseph
4. RokXIII
5. pupumaru

Who else wants to join the brake pads bulk?? For Denso Iridium Spark Plugs & Works' Engineering Air Filter bulk order, kindly refer to Zeng for more info. Thx!

The one near to Rampai one-loh, I already ask them why have to charge since is still under warrant, but the clerk told me have to-wor. Since is just RM3.50 then don't want to argue much.

Anyway, the sound not really gone also. Just tighten the screw only + waste of my petrol. mad.gif

But even after 10k, if any parts of noise they going to charge us? As my understanding the 1k, 5k and 10k is FOC service. But those noise is not consider service-mah, it should fall under 'warranty' within 2 years or 50k should be free. Else warranty is stand for what?
*
Thats why claims must be done at CoSE. They provide swift replacements without questions asked.

What u asked them to check for u? What noise? After 10k also as long ur car still under warranty they have no rights to charge u anything.

i swear i read your post 3 times, but i still dont quite get what you mean.
so we can change rear drum brakes to disc brakes la? just like h line? cos i cant wait to smoke road bullies when in pg bridge.

pls put me on the list too, and also spark plug pls? the other bulk list is air filter right? i want too! thanks!
*
For the spark plug & air filter, please refer to Zeng. I only handle brake pads smile.gif

Ok, like this..

U go & take a look at ur car's brakes.

Front = Disc brakes, the 1 with a caliper & shiny rotor.

Back = Drum brakes, the 1 that doesn't have caliper & rotors.

To change ur back brakes to disc brakes, u need to go to a halfcut shop to get a whole complete set of disc brake system including brake pump, brake hose & ABS. This will easily cost u RM 800-1000 depending on the brake system u chose.

Unless if u're filthy rich, go for new, OEM disc brake system, at RM 3500.

Lazy to travel so far + toll-mah. The rear seat sound, even after wrap the rubber tape on the hook, when pass the bump if my both rear tyre is not parallel, will have 'ngek' sound. Very obvious every time go up & down car park ramp.

After thigten the screw on the Safe belt, got improve a bit. But still can notice very minor sound. Simple way, I just back from petrol station, when I drive through those 'round petrol tank cover' on the floor, can hear.

The SC people told me if still got sound have to sent to Service Branch, they might change the whole seat-wor. rclxub.gif

I have 1 friend also same sound, after sent to Sc, they take out the whole seat, dunno what they did, put back then no sound. But here refuse to take out the seat.
*
Oh. Then simple lah. DIY a bit.

"Ko buat lah sendiri...." laugh.gif

U fold down the rear seats, spray some WD-40 at the bottom part, the hinge. Then try again. Sometimes it's just minor simple stuffs like this that we overlook.

And also try to check if the sound really came from that part of the car. As u're sitting in front, the noise may be confusing & may not be what u think it is..

RS needs bedding in, but that's about it la.. Braking force better especially during high speed sudden braking, as the pads' have higher temp ratings n resistance..

That sound is not caused by brake pads. It's the metal side of the pads that are rubbing against the rotors, that's why u get the noise..

Adding the add bullet coz i complaining my fuel was crazy!
As for the sound, I felt my is fine..not noisy at all coz I hate noisy exhaust.
My S-flow box is huge therefore noise will be much lesser.

Is this the swirl bullet?
Also I attached the partial exhaust system of mine.
*
Yeah, that picture on the right is the swirl bullet. U can identify swirl bullets by the grooves in the bullet, it looks like a spiral to help create turbulence & swirling motion.

But u have to know, S-flow box huge doesn't mean the noise will be less. It's the layers in it that counts. Because a huge S-flow may simply mean that u're keeping too much backpressure, thus affecting ur acceleration.

What's ur previous setup? Take the old bullets out, sell it online. U may get back around 200-300 bucks depending on the type n length of bullet. The piping sell to junk yard. Cos if u sell everything to junkyard u can only get a few bucks back. Not worth it.

Erm.. Not really lah. I mean, how much of gas does it take for u to get home, go to work, go shopping every day? U can bed in ur brakes every single time u drive, doesn't have to bed it in immediately after u installed it. But of course, with immediate bedding in comes immediate effects lah.

Here's another 2 pictures of swirl bullet. This swirl bullet have deeper grooves, thus providing more spiral effect on the exhaust gases. The orange-looking thing on the bullet in the first picture is not rust; it's actually the original paint of the bullet. The silver/greyish part is the material under the paint. The second picture shows the inside of the bullet. Compare the grooves on this bullet to the one in urs & notice the difference.

i heard someone said the perfect match extractor for PE is R3 header, it is design for it solely. is that true?

Added on April 25, 2011, 10:25 pm

ori piping size is 1.7", the max can go for ori engine is 2".
*
U heard who said that? Any extractor, as long as it's piping diameter & length is properly tuned will match our PEs perfectly. Thats one reason to avoid cap ayam extractors because they are not tailored to match our car's output.

And our optimum piping size is 1.7". Go max no use, waste petrol lose top speed n acceleration only.
