Here's the simple how to get to stock firmware :-
1. Download Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS) application from here http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/so...x10?cc=gb&lc=en and install it into your pc. 2. After the installation has finished, run the application and just follow the onscreen instructions. If this is the first time you are doing it, it'll take some time as SEUS will download around 120MB of firmware data to your PC before it can flash to your phone. 3. You'll be back to stock firmware now Added on May 17, 2011, 1:22 am QUOTE(fiz_elmo @ May 17 2011, 01:19 AM) i'm not understand bout baseband..i buy this phone already in 2.1 version..i use 6.1.3 version by wolfbreak...i have finish 2.21 but no signal Go to Settings -> About phone, there you can see your baseband version. Normally it will state there 2.0.xx, xx is the version of your default baseband. This post has been edited by tot31: May 17 2011, 01:22 AM |

QUOTE(fiz_elmo @ May 17 2011, 01:23 AM) No, you don't need to...ok like this...Wolfbreak rom is meant for baseband 2.0.54 and above, so if your default baseband is 2.0.54 or 2.0.55 or 2.0.58, you are ready to go.So if you're on bb54 then it's a straight forward procedure...always start with a fresh install of stock firmware. In your case I suspected that you have flashed the cm6bb49.zip patch file which you don't need to....My advice, if this is the first time you're trying to install custom rom, stick to the stock kernel, once you have more knowledge then go to the next level by using custom kernel.. QUOTE(amon90 @ May 17 2011, 01:43 AM) All stock 2.1 SE firmwares have the same kernel but different baseband due to country/operators radio signal for mms, sms and phone calls. For instance Canada can't use bb52 therefore they are using bb54 but fortunately for us Malaysis we don't have problems using any of the basebands. At the moment Jerpelea's custom kernel is based on bb52, so if your baseband is other than that, you'll get problems. Same goes to roms. It depends on the chefs/devs when they are cooking/porting roms. So before you want to install any custom roms, read the first page, what is the baseband that the roms required. |

QUOTE(amon90 @ May 17 2011, 02:17 AM) yes, most custom roms have been tweak to get the best performance. All depends on the devs/chefs of the roms. Since they are doing for free, not much you can demand from them. For instance, most of the GB roms at the moment does not have the camera feature, most of the devs are waiting for the official GB rom from SE so that they can use the library to get the camera works on their rom. What I've read that, implementation of the camera is quit complicated and time consuming, that is why they are willing to wait for SE to release the official GB rom.so now, it's all depend on you to choose the best custom roms that suits your normal usage. so far I found that a work in progress SuperAOSP Overdrive by rdannar is the fastest rom but still has some bugs with apps like Root Explorer, Titanium backup, and some widgets. the most stable and fast GB rom at the moment to me is SuperAOSP2.3.3 Stable version from rdannar too but like said before, camera does not work. in comparison to WBCM6 froyo rom, cobrato's MIUI3.1.8v2 froyo to rdannar GB 2.3.3 SuperAOSP rom in terms of performance, they are equal. WB CM6 and cobrato's MIUI roms has everything working including camera.....so the choice is up to you.... |
