my daughter broke my a42jv lcd "-.-

does the warranty cover such damage? or will i have to fork out from my own pocket to have it replaced? if so, how much is the estimate of the amount that shops are charging? anyone can help?

thanks
*
how is the damage? if ur skillful enough to convince asus that you didnt break it accidentally then u'll get a new lcd for free xD
as for money, around rm 600

well basically she tried to close the laptop when theres an earphone on top of the keyboard (she's 2 years old). there was a crack sound and when i opened the laptop i saw something like a point of entry (although the crack is internally) which spreads all around the screen. it's pretty obvious that it's broken accidentallly lol, dont think anyone will fall for it if i say it happens suddenly out of the blue O.o

1215B screen resolution is the same as a the larger notebooks though. But then if you wanna get the U-series for your dad, have to see his needs also.

U should have sent it to the service centre directly bro.. Sending it through the shop will take ages since they're not really obliged to do it for you so they'd take their time..

There is an N73 which is the newest of the 17" N-series. Problem that it's not that popular and it has not been refreshed with SB yet. Don't think it will either.
