Is the fan running continuously even on low temps? One thing I noticed abt certain laptops is that they sacrifice cooling for running quietly. Mostly see this on Dell's, fan waits till the temp is 60C+ and then it starts to spin up, by that time the keyboard and body is already warm. But Asus not as bad.
At lower temps, the fans are running at such a slow RPM you can't even hear it. Only when it's needed, it kicks into action but not too loud either. And when the fan kicks in, the only area that was warm was the underside of the laptop. Palm rest and keyboard was pretty cool.

guys, you got problem updating Windows 7? Mine keep on fail at restarting. It'll say Fail Updating Windows Configuration, Reverting back.
A42JV. Ori windows 7 home came with the laptop.
Normally, the update files got screwed somewhere when it was downloading. Happens with my desktop sometimes when my connection is bad. I just hard reset and more or less ignore that update after that.
