The sound come out when you press the front casing or it come out itself ?
When turn on then only got sound or ?

If you open the optical drive first before shutdown, then turn on again, got sound ?

If just bought it, better exchange it with the shop.

More likely the HDD or RAM or Windows..
Tried reformat the Windows ?

Burn the recovery disc and use it to restore the OS..
or just get a Windows disc and do a fresh install and use your windows key on the notebook bottom to activate...
You should have a driver disc given by Asus..

Battery should be able to power it, you still have around >48Wh
Gaming usually takes around 30W...

Unless the manufacturer force it to slow down during battery..
