Most likely the BatteryCare use the wrong Tjunction 100C instead the 85C for Core i3..
Hence the 15C temp differences...

Temp is calculated by Tjunction - difference to Tjunction(this is what CPU sensor sense) = Your Temp.

Well. its not like Turbo Boost can go on a long duration, Intel has set it will last only for a while then it will go turbo boost again and repeat..

Just by downloading, can use 100% cpu usage ?

That is for the firefox addon/plugins, so if got plugin crash, firefox doesn't crash.
The flash player, is it the latest version ? watching 1080p ?

Can install the latest, it should included the fix on the previous revision..
If no watch youtube, the cpu usage is low ?

Try to merge this registry..
then restart notebook, check again the power management..

Is there anything on the BIOS with EIST ?

Can you run CPU-Z and see whether the CPU clocks does go up and down ?

I thought A43Sj got Optimus ?
13-15W still high..
Even my laptop power drain is around 15W and that is with Core 2 Duo and dedicated GPU...

I also thot my have optimus, but now i doubt as its not  written on nvidia sticker, writes cuda only, its GT520M, the one that have optimus is acer 4750g with GT 520 (no suffix M) right?

Can you run GPU-Z and see at the bottom drop list, got Intel HD and GT520M ?
The Acer 4750G have the same GT520M.

My is switched to 3D application by default, will switch to 2d application to see got any difference.

This is getting ridiculous man, light surfing + torrent now usage 31W according to battery care. Resource monitor did not show anything out of ordinary.

5.0.1 ? Mine just around 5% for Firefox 5.0.1
Use Balanced setting, no need High Performance...

So in GPU-Z, no Intel HD? Then no Optimus...
In Power Save mode, can you run GPU-Z, go to "Sensor" tab, compare the core/memory clock with the "Default Clock" on the first tab, is currently lower than that ?

Seems like your GPU run at full power all the time, no wonder power consumption is high sweat.gif
