Bro i think you are quite pro on Asus since you are the thread starter. I'm really stuck with Asus and Acer now in decision of getting a laptop.
Can you let me know which should i choose? I mean Asus model. Budget must be below rm3000 and more on gamings.
so far decision is still on this few model :
1) Asus A53SV-SX106V - i5
2) Asus A43SV- SX028V - i7
3) Acer 4830TG Timeline - i5
Actually i also can pay extra for N53SN - i7 but got 2 major problems.
1) Keyboard i totally cant accept.
2) I heard this model is phase out? WIll they come back with new model with better keyboards?
gaming = emphasize more on GPU...
CPU is not as important...
besides i dun really like 4830TG due to the battery... integrated battery + dedicated GPU is a bad combo imho... when u run an intensive program, the heat produced by the CPU and GPU will affect the battery, and since there's no way u can remove the battery in 4830TG, it's like cooking it, and heat has been proven to be bad for battery cells...
if u really want the battery AND performance of 4830TG, take a look at U41SV...
pure performance wise N53SN is the clear winner here (quad core + GT 550M)... it's the current model in the market now... but the others won't be too shabby either since GT 540M and GT 550M are essentially the same GPU...
