They said tadak stock konon in Penang branch. Anyway, I've asked my retailer to help follow up for me. Have to fire up my wife's old S60 phone in the meantime.

anyone using the 9700 charger to charge 9900? shouldnt be an issue rite?
*
Definitely can bcos it is microusb. Even some nokia, samsung, htc charger also is inter usable.

I juz use the iPad charger, damn powerful at 10A, charge up very fast!
Costs only 89 (while momax sells at 90). Bought 3 pieces.

charge too fast any adverse effect to he battery or not? 10A veli powerful.
*
in any electrical equipment, if u charge with higher current is always better than lower.
bcos it will take long time for lower current to charge, more heat generate and more stress on battery bcos it needs to draw harder.

Certainly wt contract is better. Got subsidy price. Even if u choose cheapest contract thr is still some savings even though not so much as android devices.

So the battery life is even worst than my iphone4? Camera worst and no hotspot tethering, but I really need a blackberry in Indonesia so no choice.

Indonesia haven't launch, wanna ask my family to help me get in Malaysia then my gf bring it to me next week. Where's the best place to purchase it?
*
ip4 is the best smartphone on the planet. so cannot compare especially on battery life and camera.
but bb9900 does have a physical keyboard which is one of the best so far.
guess most of ur indon frens are using BBM hence ur need for a blackberry.

u can choose to keep ur ip4 as ur main phone and buy a curve 8520 as ur primary BBM device.

best place to purchase is authorized distributors.

Indonesia majority all bbm, but starting to see more iPhone here and also Lots of iPad.

I definitely still keeping my iPhone. 8520 or curve 3g battery can last longer than bold 9900 huh? My major weakness, I love new tech haha.
*
Definitely. With smaller screen, slower processor. Better get 8520, which is using 2g/edge.
Not sure of 3G coverage in Indonesia but if it is as bad as here, then a lot of battery power will be spend to hunt for 3G signal and keeping the connection on.

Bro... I tink ur asking 4 a flaming wen u post stuff like this on a BB thread...
It's kinda like d guy who wore a MU jersey to d Liverpool game..

Btw, u can't jus say 4 a fact that iPorn d best smartphone on d market...
there are also many aspects that BB's r betta than a iPorn..

It may b your favourite, but u can't jus say it's d best as differnet ppl hav different needs and "BEST" is very subjective
*
do not be childish and resort to infantile flaming war like those droidfags.
in general, ppl who use blackberry is more mature, knows what they want best and choose functionality over candy.

but in terms of customer satisfaction, sales, and overall image iPhone is by far the best on the planet.
Android, and RIM is far behind.

while iPhone may be the best but it is NOT PERFECT.
like what i've written, if u like physical keyboard, choose BB instead of iPhone.

So let's say I'm subscribe to BIS service in indoesia. When I go to malaysia I dont need to subscribe malaysia BIS service to use BBM right?

If keep data on and connected to wi-fi, will I be charge data roaming? I read so many post and yet still couldn't figure out how BIS works.

If my subscription in Indonesia stopped, even connected to wi-fi also can't browse internet or bbm is it? so it's like BIS service subscription is not to telco but to RIM?
*
each blackberry device is tied to BIS/BES. only subscribe once.

if use wifi, how can considered data roaming? rolleyes.gif

without BIS/BES, ur blackberry device can only make calls and sms. play games also.

Any user end comment about the battery for 9900 , i am looking to purchase one. Possible for running 2 days with moderate use ? WhatsApp BBM Facebook Twitter , on EDGE all time and almost no browsing since i use iphone for browse web.
*
yes, is possible. to further increase battery life, use lowest brightness and screen timeout to be 10s or less.
like i've already mentioned before, don't be overly concerned abt battery. it can be solved by having extra batteries or chargers.

if battery life is your only concern, get the curve 8900. for Bold9900 , it looks great, fast response, very slim and the keyboard is the best, all these things u are not able to achieve by buying accessories.

terry, do you have curve 9360 pink and white version?
*
prefer black bcos it is BLACKberry. nod.gif

but seriously, based on previous models, even though whole thing may be white but trackpad surely black.
this looks very ugly to me, like a black smudge in the middle of face.

Hey zellleonhart thanks for the info...got both my bb updated and also it was quite a pain initially to update but after reading on updating OS to bb on the front page its a breeze...now just to observe the improvement....will post later...
*
don't understand why is it painful? it's very simple.
1) download the update firmware from given link.
2) install.
3) open BB desktop manager.
4) Update when prompted.

not even 5 steps!
