do i need to flash custom rom 1st in order to flash kernel?

I can just flash kernel using stock rom?

You can flash a custom kernel to a stock rom, but you have to check if that kernel is compatible with the stock rom or not.

If i flash leedroid v.2.2.3 and without the kernel v2.2.9, does my CPU goes up to 1.8k ?

if i not mistaken,if u flash a rom...u flash a kernel also...
kernel comes together with roms...
while radio doesn't...

and FYI,u nid SETCPU apps to overclock ur CPU speed...not by just flashing kernel...

Flash kernel means it can overclock, not will overclock. You have to install SetCPU to overclock it.

Worry here is sometimes the kernel won't suit stock ROMS, and sometimes it can make things slower instead of faster.

oic.. means the best solution is flash a custom rom into it..

anyway, im going to flash leedroid rom, but i scare when i flash radio, it will brick my phone.. lol

any better solution?

As long as you follow the instructions on xda, it should be fine.

You can choose not to flash the radio if you like

The radio affects reception and battery life, so if you find the battery life draining much faster than usual, then you have to flash another radio, otherwise you don't need to.

Custom kernel for GB sense rom already available... but it's only support OC but not UV... Not much different than stock one like that...

Well if you done radio S-off before your done ENG S-Off you wont see "ACE PVT SHIP S-OFF"... ENG S-Off kinda ontop of Radio S-Off...

is there any third-party dual sim card support for DHD? Digi DHD package looks interesting, but do not wish to port to digi.

Btw, how's the GPS in terms of smooth navigation and speed to log on to the satelite? Am using HTC D2 and very sastify with the gps.
