i hope they enable this feature again with the longer delay when enter the channel number (so the elderly like my mom doesn't have to rush to enter the correct number b4 the 'no channel found' appear). Pity to her coz she so used to the old decoder which is easy to navigate her fav channels.  She keep complaining to me "astro baru ni susah la".  mad.gif

suggest to write in to astro (from website) and the more complaint they have, they would look at releasing a new firmware for it

let all of us write to the same website and complain about the favorites button.

I also suggest they reduce the size of the remote control as it is larger than the old one.

where is the website link ?

if I'm not mistaken, you can upgrade your package which doesnt have penalty, but if you were to downgrade, then there is a penalty. Hence it depends which goal you are kicking the former or the latter? drool.gif

lol why is everyone dismiss and dislike Sony ah..... sweat.gif

Because its overpriced. Other brands has becoming more competitive and better promotions and at times, slightly edging on better features too.

Hi! Veejay said his byond PVR(?) S/Ware is ver. 2.0.4.001...NO date stated tho. sad.gif

Mine is 1.0.3.001 dated 4 Oct 2010 & it was the version at time of installation on 21/7. Saw the DL/ updating process being done pn air @time of installation.

Can anyone confirm latest s/w for Byond PVR? NOT the STD Byond box. Unless s/w for both are the same?

Added on August 5, 2011, 9:28 amps. Btw my Byond PVR is V3.0S2.

Yeah i noticed that, but we can control decoder volume again just by hold down together (vol- button + ok button) and wait the indicator light blink 4 times.
To control tv volume back hold down (vol+ button and ok button) till the light blink twice. Pretty annoying though. I wish there is separate button for tv and decoder like the oldest 1st gen philips decoder.  biggrin.gif

Hello guys,

just upgraded to byond recently.

the volume on HD channels are loud while the SD are very soft. is this normal?

thanks

which 2 channels are you comparing? just curious...since I heard many has the same problem...but I dont notice that on my TV...although there might be slight difference but its negligible...I have not adjusted the volume switching SD to HD...

hi Veejay,

i am referring to all channels between SD and HD...for me, the difference is very obvious, i need to double my volume for SD channels.

i thought it was my TV problem that was while i posted the question.

lucky you that you do not have the problem.
*
hmmm...interesting....I'm using Panny, and my volume now is at 20..and I dont hear much different in the level when I switch between SD and HD.

is it stated in the manual book
yesterday it still work...today open tv...the volume +  - and mute doesn't work anymore
and i'm not saying the TV volume...its astro's volume
every other button work, only volume button doesn't work
*
the volume is configured to your TV, Astro byond doesn't have volume control...hence it uses your tv 's volume and the remote is programmed to control your TV's volume
