Still playing around with Byond, one good thing I found, is that the remote has recall button, hence its easy to switch back and forth 2 channels.

But the SD channels still killing me...how did you guys manage it? just live with it, is it?

True, I dont like stretched as well. What,I was saying was, compared to my old Astro black box SD channels look better on them compared to Byond Box.

Its not only only view, every time when people visited my home, their first impression was I was using Byond, hence the channels are clear, which I was not.

Past 2 days, those who comeby do see the difference, anyways, my eyes is getting adjusted to it.....

I have given away my component cable, but previously on my black box, S-Video was much better with retuned settings. Byond box has no SVideo,its either component or composite. I tried with composite, its no better.

By the way, the new packages are not bad, unfortunately I was not aware of it! ANyone tried to change the packages in the last week, after subscribing?

Ok, thanks..I just check out the channel, seems to be similar to other SD channel, probably the clarity is 10% lesser than some SD channels, but I dont any squarish pixels.

This is just my experience, I prefer the SD channels from old decoder. The Byond decoder has about 10-20% PQ drop, just my view.
But after some time, I got adjusted to it, since there is nothing to compare with

As for HD channel, I have no complaint on PQ. Only that at time, the transmission cuts off,for less than 1 sec and back again. Very intermittent.

I doubt, but as a benefit of doubt what is your TV model and the spec for HDMI? unless you have latest 3d model, then it will work better with 1.4

Yeah I'm pissed off as well, made so many appointment cancellation to catch the game....grrrrr I think its due to the ticketing thingy, since its weekday, obviously the sales would be low, hence to boost sales, might have cancelled it, we have seen the same happening in Msia...from the past experience...geramnya!

I suggest, we go to the astro website and complaint and request for an explanation why the cancellation? Let them feel the consumer's pressure...please ALL do so.... thanks...
