Any idea who is this caller?

hong leong telemarketing perhaps?

Got a sudden call from +09-515 8188, stating i suddenly have my credit card application approved and they're sending me one via mail.

Upon checking online, number checks out as maybank, but why would their east coast number be the one calling?

For context, i did try to apply some time ago but I only started working then so probably didn't meet their initial criteria.

Just feels weird.

Just received a call from 016-2249311 a speed speaking malay ladies name Fatihah claiming from Database Malaysia and the her office at Setapak regarding my bank sevices for Ccard and debit card insurance protection is due and ask either i like to continue or terminate? So to cut short, i choose to terminate but i still need to pay rm499... Then she me my bank details.. I turn off the line and she keep dailing with the number 03-74993704. I know she try harder to scam me.

You subscribed to some protection plan?

Nope. Never even been to the east coast.

I think i'll drop by my local branch to confirm.

I've received the same call some years back & I couldn't understand at all what she was saying but bottom line still need to pay to terminate. She was kind of rude so I hung up on her & blocked her number.

Indeed, dont ever give her your bank acc. info. They can deduct your money automaticly...

I also just received call from 016-2397437 a guy saying he is from Database something for private data security for CC user and debit user. He said i need to continue the protection. i said my debit has been hacked before but why there's no protection or compensation from them since he said my debit is protected by them..

Then he said he's going to check with bank. Right after that i call bank, then bank said there's no such service from the 3rd party unless it is officially from bank, not from 3rd party company to customer/user.

0162162653 - so call AKPK contacted me to provide debt restructure. I not sure its a scam or real one. I received so many call from AKPK until I'm annoyed

Need help.

A Call from a Maybank number does not mean the call was originating from Maybank!

Wah seriously.. Then how to pick up call in this day.. I think I would just ignore.. Important issue, bank will issue letter I believe

Why I received a lot of debt/credit card restructuring calls recently?

I would say 1 day 1 call from different agencies.

It was a missed call with a voice mail left...not bothered to go retrieve the voice mail as it is very suspicious looking...

Scam. Caller ID 013-6266037. Claimed to be calling from Ambank regarding RM6K withdrawal from credit card.
