ME: Hi, I received an email from HSBC that my card is on the way. Can I check with you whether that email is a scam email?
HSBC: Hi Mr. , actually HSBC do not send any emails for such notifications. But I can check for you if you want to?
ME: Yes, please. That's why I'm calling the Customer Service!
HSBC: Oh, our record shows that your card is read y and on its way. It means that email that you received is a valid email from HSBC! Don't worry about the email now!
ME: Alright, then when it will arrives? Normal mail or PosLaju?
HSBC: Oh, it's a Platinum and therefore we are using normal mail and you will receive it within 10 working days!
ME: Platinum using normal mail? Then which card using PosLaju?
HSBC: The Visa Signature, Mr.
ME: Gold using stamps??
HSBC: No, normal mail too.
ME: OK!!

I noticed that the waiver for the annual fees for Amanah cards is no longer stated in the website? Because they do have the condition of swipe 12x to waive it.

My HSBC Visa Platinum Credit Card application has been approved(Applied on 9th June and approved on 15th June), this is my second credit card with HSBC, the first one is HSBC Amanah MPower Visa Platinum Credit Card-i.

They really gave me a separate credit line, it is a bit lower than my other card. So far I don't see any GST charge yet on the online statement.

Have to wait another week I guess for the card to come, since I already received the PIN number for it yesterday.

Next is to wait for the cashback if it is really Rm150 smile.gif

u submitted the documents again for ur second application for the vp?

QUOTE(goliath @ Sep 14 2013, 06:16 PM)
CS did say that I'm eligible for annual fee waiver. CS has left a note/memo on my account in their system about this request. It is just that, like no. 4, I have to pay first to avoid late penalty fees (or something along the line) then only they will credit back to my account AFTER I call them again when the amount is charged in the coming statement. CS said their system can't do the automatic waiver "magic" now.

Btw, I thought they no longer practice "12 swipes for annual fee waiver" clause anymore for Visa Platinum (not Amanah's). I was told so when they charged me last year.
*
yeap
i applied the card VP few days ago.
the CS said the waiver is no longer based on 12x swipes, and subjected to no conditions.
