Has anyone had any luck getting their charges waived by HSBC for late payment?

I transferred money from my current to savings acc. stupidly thinking the automated CC payment would still go through - it didn't and I got charged around RM70.

I did explain this to them once they called me to inform me that my account was overdue.

I'm going to call in the next couple of days, see if I can get the charge waived, just wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with this with HSBC?

Last month I mentioned that I did not receive my previous statement and forgot to make payment. The late penalty and interest charges were subsequently waived after I requested for it. Today realised again my payment is due but did not receive the Statement again. Then I suspect maybe is it because I registered for an online account and therefore no more paper statements will be issued. Just call CS and was told that YES, because I signed up for online account, no paper statements will be issued anymore a month after the online account is activated. How come I did not read this when I sign up for the online account  Now have to really remember to check online statement every month      Luckily this month no payment due but got credit since I overpaid last month and got the penalty and interest charges waived.

I'm Curious .... becoz everytime I doing Online Transactions they just sent SMS or OTP to my phone only, Never received Verfication Calls from HSBC regardings Online Transactions...

I was thinking of opening a savings account with HSBC, so I went online to check on the details on their website. Apparently you'll get a complimentary CC from them if you have an account with them. Is this true? Can anyone verify this?

Not Sure with HSBC... As the Bank Negara  have Forbidding All the Banks in Malaysia to Offer Unsolicited Pre-Approved Credit Card/ Loan Product to Customer (Since July 2013)

Even though You have Signup as Primer Account Holder, they Maybe also Need Your Income Documentation , before they can Issue a Credit Card for You, I also Not Sure with That...

Ooo....You guys mean the premier banking cards? What for so troublesome to get that card? Any extra benefits compare other cards?

But that is because you are the premier banking customers, right? Rather than applying to get the credit card, am I right?
