Heard from her that HSBC offer the highest cash back, 8% (cap RM150) for everything (ie petrol, utility and etc). Is it true? If yes, then this is better than OCBC Titanium card already. biggrin.gif

0.5% for NORMAL local spending. AEON(Jusco) falls under normal local spending, while AEON BIG falls under the Groceries category for the 5/8% cashback promotion.

The promotion only covers tesco, aeon big(not the normal aeon jusco), and giant for groceries category.

is it possible the cancel the application? Yesterday i signed up this hsbc amanah card. According to sales person, got 8% for petrol. Now i realized only for weekend provided with spending rm2k and above whereas 5% for RM2k below spending. Weekdays only 0.5%. That's bad. Should i call the sales person or i should wait for HSBC call me. Feel cheated i asked is it everyday he said yes. Now is only weekend.

just now, they also got roadshow and say no minimum spending condition to get 8% during weekend petrol. nowadays credit card sales agent like cheating ya

For HSBC Amanah MPower Visa Platinum Credit Card-i, it says if total spent for the month is above rm2k, then get 8% rebate right? So example, I use it for education fee, RM6100, means I get back RM488 cash back?

5% Cash Back for total monthly spend of RM2,000 and below OR 8% Cash Back for total monthly spend of RM2,001 and above.
Cash Back is only applicable for spend made during weekends i.e. Saturdays and Sundays during Programme Period.
The maximum Cash Back on Petrol, Groceries and Dining for Each Eligible Cardholder(s) is RM100 per participating month and an unlimited Cash Back for other categories from core product features.

Participating merchants nationwide:
Petrol - Shell, Caltex and Petronas.
Groceries - Giant, Tesco and AEON Big.
Dining - Any spend that are made at local merchants categorized as Dining in the Merchant Category Codes.

read and study the full T&Cs
even if you pay RM6.1k for education fee to "unlock' the 8% cashback, it doesnt fall into Petrol/Groceries/Dining categories but falls under "Other Categories" which is 0.3% cashback.
