Whichever card u choose, don't choose HSBC. My HSBC master gold card chip got problem when using at Petronas Station. I call to raise my concern to the call center and they asked me to pay RM50 for card replacement.

Oh, they just called me for a pre-approved gold. sweat.gif

What RM150 cash back  sweat.gif Go read the terms and conditions also can have a headache. And if I read correctly, looks like new card members who sign up from now until 30 June won't qualify for the RM150 at all.

This is what I found in terms and condition

Apply for a Primary or Supplementary Participating HSBC Amanah Credit Card‐i listed above during the Programme Period which must be approved by HSBC Amanah on or before 30th June 2012 (“Eligible Cardholders”); and

anyway, i heard that GST for HSBC will only be charged after activation. i had verified again with customer service
not sure if all these sources are incorrect.

but then i saw a statement in this forum "Of course we all know that the RM50 GST were payable the moment the cards were approved"

U mean the Great Gift Give Away Cash Back Promotion?
I just get $6.73 not $150 like I said it before HSBC kedekut... shakehead.gif

ya. if you read the terms, i think only valid for petrol and groceries?

i didn't manage to read this when the hsbc agent @ pc fair booth was persuading me to sign up.
when asked for brochure, she doesn't have it. tongue.gif

at home, did some research... and decided to cancel it upon getting the card. surprisingly, she helped me to apply for gold and platinum... what's the use of having both? zzzz

For HSBC Visa Signature, what are the benefits in term of:
- Dining
- Shopping
- Travelling
- Freebies
Will be very appreciated if any one can share on above, in a paragraph of two (without referring me to another link) smile.gif

Not much benefit. Don't get it.

Even if they submitted also you can still cancel it after approval.

I just called in to cancel my Amanah Platinum + Gold, eventhough the agent called me to wait for 3 months for auto-cancellation.

After I signed up for online account, automatically I stopped receiving paper statement and sometimes I forget to make payment  doh.gif Today I received an SMS telling me what is my available CL, which is good. I can't remember most of the time what card and when I use for my transactions, so with the sms I don't have to log on to HSBC to see if I have Outstanding Balance or payment Due  smile.gif

I have always get those notification (how much due) for my Citibank PM biggrin.gif

It is untrue. I was approached by an agent at MV today and he told me the same thing. I lodged a complaint to HSBC.

Agent will promise "the moon and stars" just to signup an application.
Swipe RM1 per transaction. if you don't receive the RM150, cancel within 3 months to ensure the agent don't get any commission.

if didn't get the RM150, rugi RM50 GST. tongue.gif
