QUOTE(ascend @ Jun 1 2011, 05:54 AM) 2011 Megasale Cashback is here. Rules are different and more misrepresentations this time. Can get 50% cashback if you shop certain items, at certain time and certain week and, importantly, only if you win the 'draw'. Minumum spend per week is RM500. 50% of RM500 is RM250, but there is a clause that says you can only get back maximum RM100 per week. Go figure! HSBC, I'm so impressed by your CC marketing team! They are so clever. This is almost borderline fraud. Excellent job HSBC, maybe they should add some more qualifier like, the person should be between the age of 18-49 driving a RED car to be able to get that RM100 bucks cash back. I'd like to be on their marketing team so that I can also put some extra qualifiers. Sounds like a fun job. |

QUOTE(ascend @ Jun 18 2011, 04:32 AM) HSBC megasale cashback campaign All this promotion by HSBC is like trying to win a lottery. I've never bothered with all this nonsense. I just buy what I need to buy and if I get rebates, good for me.The original T&Cs state that electricals are not considered as part of 'shopping'. Now in the revised version, the word electricals is nowhere to be found. Added on June 18, 2011, 9:37 am Campaign week 1 to week 5, the maximum cashback is RM100. Week 6 to 10 - max is RM100 as well. For VS cards and above only. Other cards get RM75 or RM50. |

QUOTE(ascend @ Jun 19 2011, 04:01 AM) I registered for the campaign some weeks ago. Couldn't agree more. HSBC should be careful though, all this "hard to achieve KPIs ... that's basically what they are" in the long term will create hostility towards the brand by existing cardholders. I mean, people will probably just say ... If you want to reward us, reward us .... don't create this convoluted scheme coz frankly it sucks. You would get a "Thank you for your registration..." msg from 36722 if it was successful. Added on June 19, 2011, 9:08 am Yep that's exactly what the card holders should do - buy what they need at their own convenience and not buy at HSBC's convenience (their nonsensical terms & conditions). HSBC tempts you with carrots at two times your arm's lengths. |

QUOTE(tkhoo @ Sep 21 2011, 05:20 AM) Try to make the statement date as same as possible so that you can remember when is your late due date to pay up all. This is what I doing now. How do you do that? I have the MC Gold and the Signature on the same due date but the Amanah Plat is a week earlier, I'd like to syncronise everything the same due date which will definitely make my life much easier. |

When I applied for the MPower Platinum, the gave me RM45K credit limit but they also gave me a Visa Gold with a credit limit of 3K ... I thought it was a typo or something. Called them up to cancel the card ... it was hilarious.... my Citibank is already 6 figure credit limit .... silly bank.
