dah try CM7 Beta 6,
speed n features mmg ok lah.
batt life pon ok je..

wat happened if ur phone reboot often and force closed??

LOL... i just got the defy 2 weeks back... all i did was upgraded to 2.2 (official version)

so far the phone seems working fine.. kind of happy with some of the apps but till getting used to full touch screen (from BB Bold2). Only issue i find is the battery power not too lasting and also the screen lock problem. At many times i need to slide many times in-order to unlock the phone. And sometimes it lock itself.

still seeing how to make full used of the phone.

MIUI not really nightly la..
it use CM7 as base.. with MIUI interface on top
so basically u got CM7 + MIUI on the same package..

Motoblur sure make ur phone slow..
honestly, if u fulltime wifi , kenot 2 days la..
at most u can get is nearly 20h for me..
without wifi, its different story..

can anyone tell me how to upgrade to official 2.2 froyo? i used motorola software update and it says there are no upgrades available

now RC out dy...

they are the same rom...RC is consider stable build for CM7 while nightlies are added extra experimental features/fixes/tweaks on CM7, usually they are posted overnight...so if u want to try the latest features of CM7 u can flash new nightlies everyday 
correct me if im wrong 

coz CM7 is like its engine.. put under the hood of really nice car design

it's better to do what's instructed in the faqs...less problematic...but actually i suggest you to wait untill RC1 out...cuz RC0 still buggy

if u want to try cm7 better flash nordic like the faq suggested...besides cm7 there's quite a few custom roms available for defy..try to read around xda's motorola defy section...instructions of flashing individual roms are provided if u do the research...and better make sure ur battery is fully charge or higher than 75% before u try to flash anything

btw, i stil prefer MIUI for daily use on my Defy
coz my already taste CM7 on my SPice.
interface kinda boring edy lol..

flash nordic is simple

just download RDS Lite, and that nordic ROM.
then start phone in download mode.
then just flash directly.
but before that, u're suggested to start in recovery mode, wipe data, cache, dalvik,
then boot in download mode,
fireup ur RDS Lite, choose nordic sbf,
start flashing..
