QUOTE(clawhammer @ Dec 1 2007, 04:14 PM) It's still able to go a bit further but I did not test the stability. However, I found out that the Hynix doesn't go high enough and I had problems at 43x FSB I'm using the ram shown in my sig there....anyway, I didn't tweak any voltage yet... Time to get Micron's Added on December 1, 2007, 4:15 pm What RAM are you using? Did you up the NB or Vdimm voltage? All these needs to be tweaked. Or is it possibly caused by my PSU?Coz I saw a thread here listing the PSU as unreliable....

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Dec 1 2007, 09:11 PM) There are too many people here that has a total misconception about PSU's. If you're having a 550W, I don't think it's an issue. But raising the voltage will raise the temp too right...aiyo,I'm using stock HSF.... I have a friend using 8800GT, E2160, 2xHDD, 1xCDROM with an old Enermax 430W and has no problems oc-ing. I suggest that you tweak the voltage on the BIOS since upping it is normally required. Btw, I'm using a cheap Acbel 390W too |

Yup!!Totally different!!But I rely on CoreTemp more...
It seems CoreTemp shows higher temp readings.... This post has been edited by Izwan898: Dec 2 2007, 03:27 AM |

I'm also thinking to raise the voltage but afraid of temp problems since I'm using stock HSF...huhuhu

QUOTE(kmarc @ Dec 6 2007, 03:23 PM) Nice. Are you using stock CPU HSF? Why not increase the vcore? But then again, I'm also not running high vcore 24/7..... Stock HSF can go that high??Huhuhu must try raising the voltage.... Oh ya, some forumers did mentioned that "option 2" for the rams are better for crucial rams...... dunno whether this is true or not... |

Anyway, since you're also using the E6750 @ 1.35v, try higher OC. The E6750 can go 3.2Ghz to 3.3Ghz at 1.35v (stock voltage). Check your temperature though....
Tried that but I got the BSOD in windows and error in 5 seconds using orthos... This post has been edited by Izwan898: Dec 9 2007, 07:16 PM |

UPDATE: Okay right now I'm running on 400 FSB, stock voltage with MAX temp of 65C...is it normal? C1E and EIST were turned off....can I re enable them? This post has been edited by Izwan898: Dec 10 2007, 03:57 AM |

QUOTE(kmarc @ Dec 10 2007, 09:45 AM) Cool! The overclock, I mean. The temp is not so cool..... Owhhh,65C when running Orthos bro...Cpu load at 100%...yeah I think the latest bios got something wrong coz when I pressed ctrl+f1, nothing happens!!Everything is still the same!!The Vdimm only got normal,+0.1,+0.2 etc. However, when I set the Vdimm to normal, it will automatically set to 2.1v!!dang!! And U know what, when I set it to +0.1, it will be set as 1.9v....weird coz the ram stock vdimm should be 1.9v not 2.1v.... I guess it is ok if you max temp is around 60-65'c (for a stock HSF)...... Yeah, you can try to turn on C1E and EIST and see whether your rig is stable or not. If it is stable, then no problems running them. Eh? Cannot adjust vdimm aaa? Make sure you press Ctrl+F1 when you're in the main bios page. After that, you'll get a whole lot of other options in M.I.T..... |

QUOTE(kmarc @ Dec 10 2007, 05:12 PM) Don't set the vdimm to normal then. Default vdimm is 1.8v. So if you set it to default + 0.1v, the vdimm would be 1.9v, which is correct.... Yup!!That's what I did....really weird... Yeah guys...newest bios for P35 DS3 is F10... This post has been edited by Izwan898: Dec 10 2007, 11:50 PM |

Yeah knight....Normal means auto...that's what happened to me last time...set my Vdimm to Normal and EasyTune5 reported my Vdimm at 2.1...
Anyway guys, what about the Performance Enhancer?I set mine to Standard and I heard u can set it to Extreme with no stability issues? This post has been edited by Izwan898: Dec 14 2007, 05:32 AM |

Ok I have updated my mobo's BIOS and it seems that Gigabyte have corrected the problem with *normal* voltage settings for your ram...it's not auto adjusting anymore and stays at the specified voltage for your rams...However, what confuses me with this F11 BIOS, it seems I'm getting lower scores in benchmarks...any idea sifus?

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Jan 11 2008, 02:45 PM) The IFX-14 fits my Gigabyte DS3L without problems so I don't think TR Ultra Extreme would ever give you problems U sure bro?It won't touch the NB cooler? And what about my casing...AFAIK, the height of Ultra 120 Extreme is 16Cm and it won't allow me to close the side panel.... |

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Jan 11 2008, 03:21 PM) Sir, I'm using that IFX-14 on my DS3L + CM690 and yes, it doesn't touch the NB cooler. I can even add a small fan on top of the NB heat sink And u can close the side panel? Btw, you can also google and there are plenty of photos showing Ultra Extreme and IFX-14 on different boards mounted. |
