Checked the specs and the praetorian got xtra 1Cm in it's width but from the reviews, I was told the height of the cooler is 16Cm and I used my ruler to find out....measurement from the mobo to the side panel only 15Cm bro...it got 1Cm xtra clearance meaning the cooler will be stuck out of the casing for about 1Cm....

Guys, juz changed my stock Intel HSF to TR Ultra 120 Extreme...coupled with Tuniq TX-2 and CM 12" Silent LED fan....my question is, is it normal for my OCed to 3.2Ghz proc to idle @40C and full load @54C for this type of cooler?

Hahaha juz used the crappy bling² CM fan for temporary use only...in the mean time still looking good fan with high RPM n airflow but quiet...thinkin of getting AllnGap fans but they're pretty expensive... |

QUOTE(kmarc @ Jan 17 2008, 05:08 PM) Since you're using a good 3rd party CPU HSF, you can OC higher without worrying too much about the temperature. Just keep your CPU temp below 60'c..... Thanks bro!!Gonna get my cpu running at 3.4Ghz but first thing first is changing the crappy CM fan... No safe max OC vcore as any OC (or even without OC!) is a risk...... probably up to 1.40-1.45v would be considered less risky..... |

QUOTE(a1098113 @ Jan 17 2008, 08:25 PM) with e6750, coretemp is pretty accurate.. dun use third party stuff supported by the mobo company. Most of the time they r really inaccurate. What you have to look out for, is the TJunction value, make sure its 100, i believe that the e6750 is always 100. But if they're accurate, why it's not beeping when it passed 60C? Coz I already set my warning temps in BIOS was 60C....Yeah my proc's TJunction value is 100C.... |

QUOTE(kmarc @ Jan 20 2008, 10:17 PM) Errr.... get the MX-1 or MX-2. I'm using Tuniq's TX-2 rite now...any good? The MX-1 is superior to the well-know Arctic Silver 5 (AS5). The MX-2 was supposed to be better than MX-1 but some forumers found that it is not. There are many other good thermal paste in the market but for our local market, I recommend the MX-1. IINM, the Shin Etsu is the best, but not available here.... |
