QUOTE(clawhammer @ Nov 27 2007, 10:34 PM) kucingfight, I'm trying 408x8 now (running Orthos small FFT). I'll check out the GeminII thread but I thought different motherboard reads temp differently? Things has changed? guess u've got a golden chip tat does >400.wodenus, yeah was at 405FSB. I'm now with my side panel opened at it's only 56C load. juz a comparison here, gemin with 2X 120mm CM case fans, 28C (at least tats what i set on the air cond controller) , full load with Folding SMP , 48C. Speed as in my sig. enclosed with CM elite 330 |

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Dec 3 2007, 10:54 AM) In fact I've tried messing up with the timings and in real life, can't feel much of a difference since it's calculated by nano-seconds I guess. I'm currently doing 401FSB at 5:6 with 14-5-5-5 wow u need that much Vmch? i tot probably +0.1v would be sufficientFor the 3.4Ghz oc, I had Vdimm +0.5 and MCH +0.3 The chip can still go further but the RAM doesn't permit a lot more room for this |

QUOTE(gsan @ Dec 3 2007, 04:48 PM) Just now tried oc to 3.3GHz but the ram 475 @ 4-4-4 holding me back no matter what vdimm I set, it is so hot even when I set to 2.1vdimm. Btw, bro kmarc, you put the ram on yellow or red slot? My D9GMH is not as good as yours. Try this, lower ur ram timings to a more relaxed one..test how far ur cpu will go..then only main the timings n dividers |

claw, i would agree with wodenus. The best method as everyone knows is to test how high ur rams could go using divider. Only then u'll know ur ram's limitation.
So, i would 95% say, the rams are definitely out of ur equation. It's more on FSB walled already, which is soo much better than any M0s or L2s i've seen another thing, your NB temps might be limiting ur OC..try upgrading to a better NB cooler or something..replaced the stock tim with paste This post has been edited by kucingfight: Dec 4 2007, 04:43 PM |

QUOTE(phas3r @ Dec 20 2007, 03:12 AM) hmm thanks anyone who tried helping me.. it turn out that the vfsb n vmch voltage needs to be upped 0.1V..im surprised that i cant use stock voltage even at only 215fsb !! now running at 2.8 and still counting..hehe..what program u guys use to check cpu temperature? whats the max voltage for stock fan? sorry if ask a n0ob question u don need to up the Vmch. stock volt will do it up to 450fsb easily. ur juz pumping unnecessary heat output to the NB.Added on December 20, 2007, 3:21 amanother thing my mobo cant change timings eh?..is it auto ? |
