Yes. I checked online. Microgynon 30 and Lotte 50. I was prescibe after a small surgery to remove a small growth in my left ovary. The doctor said the pill is to stop my period because if the period come, the growth will come back.

Anyway, is there anyway I can make sure the doctor is a genuine one? I go to his clinic once a month for periodical check up. But almost all the time he need to insert the scope into my private part which I doubt it is necessary.
*
I'm not sure you're supposed to be taking BC that often, but you don't need to see the gyno every month either. You see the gyno once a year unless you have complications.

I have stop visiting the gynae coz i feel like being taken advantages. I ask him make a full medical report so that i can find another gynae but util today after a month he is still reluctant to give me my report. I cant just visit another gynae without previous report as i got surgery before.
*
Find another gyne, and you don't need the report. You just need to tell the new gyne the details of the surgery.

Did you tell your gyne why you wanted the report? That's probably why he's not giving it to you.

@donghoejin unless your girlfriend takes the pill on the first day of her period, it is not effective for 7 days. like munkeyflo said, your girlfriend is better off sourcing it from where she is prior to your arrival.

Condoms are good enough, as long as you check before and after that they are intact.

Anyone experience faster heartbeat after taking BCP for long period? I checked online that it may cause heart disease in long run.
*
Nope. Haven't experienced it at all, and I've been on BCP since 2010

U mean u never have a break time except the 7days break? I had it for more about a year now. Last week I suddenly got rapid heart beat and short breath. I checked on the leaflet it say BCP may increase the risk of heart disease. So worry.
*
Nope. I don't even do the 7 days break. I just take it all the way through.

Wont it affect your period? I tot it suppose to give a break for period?
*
According to my doctor, the "period" (it's not a real period anyway) is just to make you feel better about it. It isn't necessary.

But yes, I recommend you see a doctor about your questions. We are not medically trained.

Hi all, have been considering for a period of time whether or not to start taking pills out of some reasons:

1. I've heard pills can help to regulate menstrual cycle (mine is a little irregular, usually 3-10 days late)

2. Also heard pills can reduce menstrual pain which I experience every month...

3. Obviously as an added protection to stay worry free

Do I just go to regular clinic or better to go to hospital? And do I just have to mention that I'm getting pills or there are any checkups needed?
How much does it normally cost? Does it involve a lot of revisit to the doctor just to make sure I can plan the budget well.
*
Visit your gynecologist and ask about birth control. They will provide a prescription, and you just refill it whenever you need to. No checkups necessary, unless you are due for your annual.

Cost, I don't know, I'm not based in Malaysia. Your doctor can give you various options to fit your budget.

I do not recommend pills. It will screw up your PMS. Next time when you want to have baby, it will be hard even after you stop taking the pills. There are also a lot of side effects that comes with pills.

I highly recommend external implant. Google for something called Nexplanon (improved version of Implanon). This implany is like a size of rice and is inserted into your arm. It has an efficacy period of 3 years in birth control. You can remove it anytime you want if you are having side effects from it or if you want to have a child. I don't know how much it is but it shouldn't be expensive.
*
There are side effects with every type of birth control, and all may have an impact on future childbearing. Might as well not take BC at all, if that's what you're worrying about.

did survey abt implant bc, realised clinic as well LPPKN r offering implanon.

Read some articles, and realised implanon no more available since 2010, now only have nexplanon.

Wondering why we still can get the older version of implant over here....
*
probably because nobody really knows about it, let alone use it.

taking pills is so old-fashioned.
Nowadays, people are using implant.
*
People still use the pill and therefore, the information is still relevant.

Recently I have switched from Microgynon 30 to Yasmin. That’s because I heard that Yasmin can help to clear acne beside pregnancy protection, and its progesterone content are more tolerable by our liver. Anyone had experience with Yasmin before? Mind to share?

Every woman reacts differently to different birth control methods. I recommend you work with your doctor to figure out what works best for you, rather than just picking and choosing based on what you hear from other people.

Since Malaysia dispenses OTC birth control pills, you can walk in there and ask.

hi i have been taking liz contraceptive pill for more than a year and i notice my "period" is getting lesser and lesser, anyone knows if this is normal? and also anyone knows if taking this hormone will affect our annual body checkup result?
*
The "period" you get in between pill packs is not a real period. It is primarily for your peace of mind to know that you are not pregnant. I would say it's normal.

What do you mean by annual body checkup? You mean with your gynecologist? No it has no effect, but you must make sure they know that you are on the pill.

I see, does this mean we do not need to mind about the "period"  flow, as long as it happens every month when we are taking the empty pills?

The body checkup i mean is like the health screening/blood test..Will taking this pill affect the health screening result? I have asked the pharmacist while buying the pills and she told me it won't affect the result.
*
Yes.

The pharmacist is correct.

I have been off pills (diane 35) since late November after taking for almost a year.  However, my cycles have been inconsistent - 30CD, 35CD, now im on 30CD but no menstrual yet.  Prior to BC, my CDs were regular - ranging between 28-30.  How long did it took you girls for the period to be regular again? I am afraid that I lost track of my O...
*
If you've been off the pill since late Nov, that means you've been off for maybe 2.5 months? No menstrual meaning no period during this time? Uh oh. I would probably wait one or two more cycles before getting concerned.
