Yes. I checked online. Microgynon 30 and Lotte 50. I was prescibe after a small surgery to remove a small growth in my left ovary. The doctor said the pill is to stop my period because if the period come, the growth will come back.

Anyway, is there anyway I can make sure the doctor is a genuine one? I go to his clinic once a month for periodical check up. But almost all the time he need to insert the scope into my private part which I doubt it is necessary.

I have stop visiting the gynae coz i feel like being taken advantages. I ask him make a full medical report so that i can find another gynae but util today after a month he is still reluctant to give me my report. I cant just visit another gynae without previous report as i got surgery before.

Anyone experience faster heartbeat after taking BCP for long period? I checked online that it may cause heart disease in long run.

U mean u never have a break time except the 7days break? I had it for more about a year now. Last week I suddenly got rapid heart beat and short breath. I checked on the leaflet it say BCP may increase the risk of heart disease. So worry.

Wont it affect your period? I tot it suppose to give a break for period?

Hi all, have been considering for a period of time whether or not to start taking pills out of some reasons:

1. I've heard pills can help to regulate menstrual cycle (mine is a little irregular, usually 3-10 days late)

2. Also heard pills can reduce menstrual pain which I experience every month...

3. Obviously as an added protection to stay worry free

Do I just go to regular clinic or better to go to hospital? And do I just have to mention that I'm getting pills or there are any checkups needed?
How much does it normally cost? Does it involve a lot of revisit to the doctor just to make sure I can plan the budget well.

I do not recommend pills. It will screw up your PMS. Next time when you want to have baby, it will be hard even after you stop taking the pills. There are also a lot of side effects that comes with pills.

I highly recommend external implant. Google for something called Nexplanon (improved version of Implanon). This implany is like a size of rice and is inserted into your arm. It has an efficacy period of 3 years in birth control. You can remove it anytime you want if you are having side effects from it or if you want to have a child. I don't know how much it is but it shouldn't be expensive.

Read some articles, and realised implanon no more available since 2010, now only have nexplanon.

Wondering why we still can get the older version of implant over here....

hi i have been taking liz contraceptive pill for more than a year and i notice my "period" is getting lesser and lesser, anyone knows if this is normal? and also anyone knows if taking this hormone will affect our annual body checkup result?
