Well, havent really gotten around to actually do it.
I've had pills for a few months and it worked great.
Boyfriend and I are long distance so I didn't really give much thought about it.
Anyway, are gyno visits exy?
*
It doesn't matter whether you're long distance or not. Gyno visits are a preventive measure and you only need one visit a year so it's best to make sure you're healthy.

As for expense, that will depend on your insurance or whatever the system is in Malaysia. I pay nothing for mine, but I am not local.

I really don't recommend eating the ECP regularly. It hurts your uterus because it's hamrfully stimulating it with one extremely large dose of estrogen, causing it to shed the uterine lining prematurely. In fact, you're not supposed to eat it more than two times a month. The first time I took it I started feeling cramps an hour later.

Disclaimer: Ate ECP and now on BCP due to hormonal problems and not for birth control purposes so my experience may differ from other people. I have to eat 3 BCPs a day sad.gif
*
3 pills a day?! even if it's not for birth control, that seems a bit excessive.

BCP? Or Plan B? Because the latter is not BCP.

my GP give me prescription  , Microgyn

i am clueless but i thought i want something like Dianette or Yaz , heard they clear your skin too... but many blood clot problem faced by women in the EU and UK...

i am gonna try microgyn for 1 month
*
I recommend giving it two months. one month isn't enough to properly evaluate a pill. Also, brands don't matter.

yea but those brand represent different contents... what i meant is that.

microgyn - ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel, wonder why my doctor give me this

instead of dianette (cyproterone acetate and ethinylestradiol) or Yaz (Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol) , which many dermatologist used for treating adult acne
*
BCP in general helps with acne because you can opt to skip your periods.

but reading from superdrug website some actually risk to give you acne instead

the two brands i mentioned are widely being prescribed by dermatologist. but Diane35/Dianette is banned in France now, as many reported to have blood cod problems while taking it
oh... i am also using supplement so far... my prescription already reach my local clinic lol... have not go and pick it up yet my gynea ask me to take first day of period...

Like I said, you can't use brand names. Each woman's reaction to birth control is unique. What works for you, may not work for me etc. I wish people in Malaysia would stop being so obsessed about the brand name. IT DOESN'T MATTER. WHAT MATTERS IS YOUR REACTION TO IT. I could recommend all the brand names in the world to you, but if you have a bad experience with it, what's the point?

Give it two months, and for f***'s sake, listen to your gyne's prescription instructions! You're not the one with the medical degree!

QUOTE(justforly @ Oct 8 2014, 07:21 PM)
as i said different brand names different chemical used. i am not concern about the brand names, just the brand name represents what the contents is i.e. v ia gra is also just a brand name that has many competitors that have same purpose but different combination of drugs/chemical used, which, the chemical names would be too long to type out. and different chemical would have different function in general, although as u said, its also some individual factors, like women who had different medical history would not be prescript to certain brands because these brands contain a certain chemical/hormone. i thought i made my point pretty clear by stating my previous post
microgyn (yes brand names but shorter, easier no?) - contained of ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel, generally levonorgestrel as stated by NHS more than 60% of woman reacted to this hormone by popping adult acne.

while, dianette (cyproterone acetate and ethinylestradiol) or Yaz (Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol), Yes both brand names but again my point is, the Ethinyl or the smaller molecular extracted ethinylestradiol, as referred to NHS Stat more than 80% woman reported to have their skin improved after taken that, and it is well-known for not just gynea but also dermatologist to prescribe this for the purpose of pimples. also, please do not because of your misunderstanding of my intention, you generalized 28millions malaysians to be obsessed with "brand names", what more, I am only holding Malaysia PR, I am born and raised in Singapore, spent half my life in UK.

i do not doubt the doctor, but this NHS GP who had saw my adult acne problem on the same day of my visit and prescribed me zineryt solution, also give me a contraceptive pill that contain ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel , got my wonder a bit why he's not giving me the one that contain cyproterone acetate or the one that contain ethinylestradiol or the Drospirenone and Ethinyl Estradiol. - ok no brand names  icon_rolleyes.gif

You say you don't doubt the doctor, yet you're reading all these ingredients in the pill, looking up all these statistics from NHS, and are undoubtedly coming across to me as someone who thinks they know better than someone with a medical license. So do what you think is best smile.gif

I don't really consider Singapore's attitude to be very much different from Malaysia. Sure, my mistake for generalizing you with the rest of the gang. I apologize for that.

I've gotten two months worth of Yasmin 21 pack and started the first pill today, which is the 7th day since my menstruation started. I'm visitng my boyfriend this November 17, is it alright to assume that it is okay for him to uhm ejaculate inside? Thank you c:
*
Is there a reason why you didn't start it on Sunday?

You should be fine for Nov 17 as long as you take the pill at the same time every day without fail.

My gyno suggested me to take it on the day I got it since I have only a one month time frame before I leave here.
*
That's fine. just make sure you take it at the same time every day. It's also not a good idea to only take it when you go to see him, because the hormonal changes will mess up your body. Either you always take the pill, or you don't take the pill at all.

Hello again, just wondering if us girls take Pap smear test annually, example if My last one was at 2014 October and results came out normal and then right after that, "cancerous cell" start to grow but next appointment will be at 2015 October. By the time will it be late to detect those "cancerous cell"?

Just a thought...

Hi all,
I'm leaving the UK, heading back to Malaysia for good in 3-4 months time. I am on Rigevidon.
I'm not sure if Rigevidon is available in Msia because I only started taking BCPs when I was already in UK.
if it is not available in Msia, what is the closest alternative to Rigevidon that is available in Msia?

Thanks in advance!  smile.gif

See a gynecologist in Malaysia.

Has anyone here tried loette before? Any side effects?i bought 21days pills but I got my first day period just today 1july. If I take this Sunday which is 5july and if we have sex on 24july( let's say) will I get protected? Btw I predict that my 23menstrual days cycle wiould be 24july, will this pill delay my menses? I will be with him for 5days till 28july. At the same time I would like to delay my period as well.
*
There is no point in asking people what side effects they experience because every woman is individual.

This Sunday is July 5, after your period. You will have to wait 7 days for full protection, taking the pill every day around the same time, so July 12. By July 24, you will be fine.

I cannot advise you on your menses, since I take the pill to get rid of my period lol.

Hi, my last period was on 17th of July and I had sex with my boyfriend on 28th of July at approximately 10pm-11pm. Took Escapelle on the next day at 1pm and experienced those undesirable side effects such as fatigue, dizziness, but those only last for a day. And as I thought my period is coming soon, which was happened on last Friday, but it turns out I have lower abdominal cramping, but the cramps are fading. I also have sore nipples which it sustain for 5days and it's worsening. been 2 weeks now and my period has yet to come, took pregnancy test on last Saturday night and yesterday morning and it show negative result. So is it normal to feel sore nipples and slight cramp after a week of taking the pill? And is it possible for me to get pregnant?
*
Is your period usually regular? Sometimes the morning after pill can throw things off. Your doctor would better advise you.

If I took Escapelle the emergency pill on thursday after the intercourse but I had intercourse on saturday too, shall I take another emergency pill?
The reason I did not take is because the manual says the pill prevent or delay ovulation and within 72 hours. Is that so? Anyone knows?

You should be okay, but please stop having unprotected sex for goodness sake!

Which is the first brand to try?

talk to your doctor. the birth control pill is not something you take based on brand.

I was prescribe with 2 different brands of pills by my doctor. One to take in the morning and another before bed. I think it is too much as taking bcp is not really a good thing. I started to doubt the credibility of the doctor. Anyone got idea?
*
Are you sure that's BC? BC is once a day at the same time.
