Good review but still wonder if the OS version (Gingerbread vs froyo) gives a significant impact on the overall performance. You should make another review once the IS upgraded to Gingerbread.

dunno, but its true the arc booting up very2 slow.. my old xperia x8 boot up quite fast compared to arc

for me..mayb i will buy another cheap phone that have 3g call...if really need it..then use arc for surfing+take picture...

I used the root for x10. superoneclick.

Just bought one for my wife and its superb, screen in crispier compared to dhd, photo is nice in low light condition, video not jerking like dhd, and continuous focus during video recording is automatic unlike dhd where you need to touch firs. So.. I kinda want one too now, or should i wait for SEXplay?

Anyone understand what SE meant in the warnings? So is the warranty void or not? All they said was "Please note that you may void the warranty of your phone if you unlock the boot loader." The word 'may' is quite ambiguous. Does it mean if the warranty claim is not due to user fault (flashing ROMs, radios etc) then they will still honour the warranty agreement?

Is there an option to relock the bootloader?

Sounds like Arc still have software issues.
Here's to hoping that the community will fix it with a custom ROM after unlocking the bootloader.
SE's strength is never in the software department. Im hoping that with the unlocked bootloader, devs can start porting more slick UIs and improved software performance ROMs onto the Arc

for me .. i wouldnt want sexplay .. since wanna wait .. i will wait and see se in dual core

Thats why I said earlier, Arc is running with Gingerbread whilst IS is still using Froyo. Seems like Arc still not utilizing the full potential of Gingerbread and I guess this performance issue will be addressed in future firmware update.
