pioneer mass market units from the 3x50 till the 7x50 series shares the same thing... its just the matter of functions... if i were to buy any of these,

i forget about looking at
1. 3 pairs RCA
2. EQ

reason is, if you are going for "Keep It Simple and Stupid" (KISS) setup... the most you need is 2 pre out. one front one rear/sub... the extra pre-out you paid for, not gonna use it anytime...

if you are going active. you're gonna need to buy a external e-xover... cheap ones offers 3 RCA inputs, selectable to 1. so you only need one... high-ends like Trutech F1, KEF6 all only offers 1 input... so you only need 1 RCA output from your HU... 2 others, paid but unused.

EQ part... for all the pioneer EQ along these range i have used... they normally are just crappy... most of the time... without using them sounds better than actually using them...

and power wise to drive your component sets... all HU are basically the same... the HU is not above average compared among themselves... in actual fact... a lot of OEM HU sounds better than them... my experience, Honda city's, Preodua Kancil, a lot of Ford's... and etc... they get crappier sound after changing their HU given the hope is the HU makes sound - livelier... smile.gif

so... you pay more for not using the things that you paid for... so i suggest you look into a HU that basically offers your basic needs. save that extra hundred bucks or two...

cheers.gif

Yup, human error... Because the best way is to wrap the RCA's ground to the HU's chasis..... And somehow accident happens.....

aiya... used to it already la...

if i havent open the HUs, i wont be writing them up... pioneer are just too common to source and to open up to awe at the circuit board...

like when its discussion about mc, brax, ... i never join in... because i know nuts about them... i dont know what are the difference between the 3x to 7x series... i dont mind the pros to point it out what i have missed... but dont tell me there are more micro-p/ROM/IC to process the "functions"...

some low-on-business-and-trying-to-survive installer will always say other shop not good... his one is international standard... good installer why wan to scare so much... ICErs just come to them eventually... brows.gif

and bro kyheng... my position and your position now is actually no difference... you are a hobbyist ICEr who occasionally does installs for another hobbyist, so do i... problem is, you sell speakers... i dont sell any ICE stuff...

so if i am a conman as you said, what makes you so different than I am? chew and digest that before you write another reply... icon_rolleyes.gif

Well, the main difference between you and me(if both of us are conen) is I will advise others to change the least equipments while you advise others to change as much as possible.... At least I won't say a Pioneer HU are crap unlike you.... As the most I can con others for rm1++ but you want people waste few hundreds to buy crap paper wrap chicken products. When both of our results ended up with failure, who cause more damage?
Is there any difference? Well, I'll let others be the judge.
Most of the time Pioneer have certain models sharing the same DAC, but does not means it will be the same. If 2 particular model that are identical, the service manual will state clearly on this. Attachments I provided are the best example....
So again, grape that you can't eat does not means it is sour.....

if you do read... which i hope you do...

i suggested not to change the HU... never said anything about changing to a high end HU... i even suggested using back the stock HU as some stock HU are good to start with... so you are the conman... not me...

and the attachment... if you are only going to attach some files and claim that i am wrong in everything... at least explain where am i wrong... i would be happy to learn... other wise, it just looks like a struggle to gain reputations around here... or as the southern people would say, kia su... smile.gif

so back to you... grape that you cant eat, doesnt mean its sour... icon_rolleyes.gif
