I was using stock proton Clarion. then after gone tired because it cannot play usb. Changed to an alpine, it was a difference like day and night. On stock speakers, I can say, signal was improved. When cranked up high, no mild hissing sound like my old stock HU. just pure music, vocal and sound from the signal source. Definitely a well worth investment. next might plan to upgrade speakers then amp.

Also, I was contemplating on the remote steering controls. guess we were gotten used to it and stop fiddling with switches on the HU. When i lost the remote function, it took a while to get used to. after all the infra red remote was a savior. if you still want to retain the controls from the steering, there are aftermarket adapters to retain the function. But the price isn't worth the buck. Better spend it on speakers or amps investment.

Trust me, when the sound is good, you will get high and melt within the symphony.
