just came back from genting, with fully loaded 5 adult & 2 children
our insight in uphill middle torque not so good from 70km/h with 3k rpm then i press until 4k-5k rpm 71-72-73-74-75km/h 

only D mode, i try S mode also not much different

im always load 5 adult 2 child on my previous city & also current insight,
that y i have a hyundai starex 2.5 turbo diesel back up
starex up genting with full loaded (11 people) rpm only use 2k-3krpm, high torque in low rpm
really no car can beat him, 13km/L fuel comsumption

want to ask bros here what are the insurance companies of your new honda insight?

my car dealer insurance partner is MSIG, the other dealer within my area one is Tokyo Marine. personally i found that Tokyo Marine service not bad. last time my NHC is under Tokyo Marine one.

How much you guys think a one month old insight can sell?  I am thinking of selling mine and get something else.

I have done 3M crystalline tint only, 2100kms done.  if anyone can find one like this for 76k or even 85k, please fast fast grab it.

I always use 95 xtra.

Econ mode on.
City 40%, highway 60%, cruising all I can. Average speed on highway is 90km/h. Numb to long trailers and buses honks, I showed them middle finger instead (in my dream last 2 nights)

Full tank runs 710km, average 22km/l
Pump rm50 runs ~550km before hits "15km range left".

I'm testing caltex now.

my rear mirror only vibrate when I play Ah Beng trance music on my new ICE... hihihi....

what it voids - don't know for sure, but i suppose anytime you touch after-market accessories that tap into existing warranty, then yr whole electronics is void. guess i'll find out when i go for my 2nd service.

my specs... quite simple, really.... didn't change much:
- kept OEM HU
- pegasus 4-channel amp under car seat
- 6" Hertz Dieci speakers (italian brand famous for mid-range, but all made in China lah) + components
- internal wiring for speakers/HU
pricing: all-in-all, nearly 2.5k.

The good thing about this wiring was that it doesn't involve removing the HU. just tap into existing wiring behind glove box.

went to my fav car ICE shop... Class Tech Auto on Hutton Lane (after new world park). these guys have been around for ages, and won quite a few awards for their ICE. they carry lots of brands, but typically will push you to Hertz/SoundStream/Edison (take the last one and your pocket will die kau kau )

if you are going there, make appt, and insist that Ah Tew do the wiring for you. he's their senior foreman. depending on how much you are changing (mine consider quite complex)... prepare to spend full day there (i was there 9am - 5pm).

the good news is... now they know how to work w/Insight. I was their "test case" hahaha.... on the job learning

what about the jerking? As I know CVT is a problematic gear box. Previous generation honda city suffered and cost of replacing the CVT is RM 14k.....
I read some of the members hear, already facing some jerking problem. Although there is no clear view whether this  jerking came from CVT honda insight....but as for honda city previous gen..yes.

Hi all,

I've been cruising for 7days since I got this ride and just did the 1st 1000km service.

To my dissapointment, the milleage per litre is not up to my expectations.
The best milleage I did was 16.7km/L and my driving mode as below:

- Econ Mode turned on all the time
- No hard acceleration or hard braking at all time
- Cruise not more than 100km/h, averagely 80-90km/h on hiway
- Mostly on hiway
- always maintaining green color mode on the meter

No doubt it is better than my previous Civic EK FC, but I expected more.
To my surprised, i wonder how some forumers could clocked 20km/l and some declared 25km/l. I've got this details from other forum.

Could anyone enlighten me?

My Econ mode is ON during city drive but still no improve, my 4th tank done 470km, 32 liter , (manual calculation) 14.7km/l (40% City, 60% Highway)

The best part is "the last 3 trip info screen" shows over 20km/l (which is about 300km done in highway), somehow the figure shown in current trip mileage only 15.2km/l (quite accurate to the real fuel consumption) before i pump petrol. I lodged complaint to honda service dealer, as usual, no solution.
