I think that is what is known as plug in hybrid, as from a post before not long ago...
one more thing, place the gear in N or P, then ram engine until rpm 3000 and more will also recharge the battery, though it is not recommended to do it often

777km so far... avg 16.5km/L... 100% PG city driving... 50% jams, 50% normal cruising @ 50-60km/h. Eco-mode 100% on, A/C set to low.

I saw this tiny speedometer icon but not sure what it is. The manual doesn't seem to show neither. Anyone know?

it's definitely too soft. it's almost useless... horn angrily and nobody pays attention (unlike my old Hella Twin Tone).

i'm changing my car horn soon - just bought Hella SuperTone from Amazon, and will put that in when it arrives. 118db of powerrr. that one if horn, sure the kapchai motorbike fellas in front will get heart attack

Mizam, thanks for your offer of 85k, it sound more reasonable than the 20% depreciation or 'if you sell at 80k I may consider'.  But right now I have not decided yet.

Eltaria, no need to argue so much, you may need to reconsider your purchase because insight resale price will drop to 76k according to your 20% dereciation rule, it's very stupid to buy new car, so I suggest you to wait until January 2012.  No need to pm me with bullshit anymore.

BTW I am not surprised car will depreciate but not 20% for a Honda under 100k and one month old and yet you are the first one who pm me seconds after I said I might sell and it shows that you are so keen to grab a bargain and try to talk down the price but things turn sour to you later on.  For a 9 year loan taker like you better buy new car.

Well not surprising at all. Same goes to ipad..iphone..the usual I heard..we heard new one coming! The world is always progressing and every second newer better product are appearing. So the best time is to buy when you NEED it. The worst is buying bcoz you WANT it, for this you will never satisfy wanting newer spec product. Price depend on demand vs supply, I guess when the 1.5 Hybrid finally appear..it could be selling at RM130-150K, demand going to be good since fuel are getting costlier every few months and our beloved Govt will not always give duty free CBU vehicles. Oh one more thing for those who are not aware ..RM72,000 total duties waived for our CBU Insight.

Agree...I read the hybrid battery has a DC-DC converter for the 12V system and it turns on and off as needed. Better make sure any electrical modification are done by professionals.

just went for pre-wedding shooting yesterday. with my insight in it! request to snap my car in it for several shots
