If you guys are interested to do it on Wesak Day , I am available! I would recommend a place called Settlers near SMU at Dhobi Gourt? We can have a meal there and play board games (not those caplang games but real good designer type board games). Jut a thought

Information for the settlers.
Website http://www.settlerscafe.com/
Map http://maps.google.com.sg/maps/place?oe=ut...635291870508579

They have unique board games, at least more than 20 choices available. You can order a set, which comes with a meal and 3 hours of game time. Cost around $18 if I remember correctly.

Hi Guys,
Finally rcvd the offer i've been waiting for rclxm9.gif
So now i need to go to spore for medical check up. Wanna ask u guys what else do i need to do besides the medical check up? what about epass application? Do i need to go to mom for registering my thump print or something? basically how many times do i require to go down to spore to settle all the required official things as i cannot be there more than a day at a time due to nature of my present job. can all being settled in one day trip? i need to know so that i can plan my travel date acdly.
Advise appreciated with many thanks.

Congrates. Once youve done your medical check up, your employer will apply the permit for you. You will then receive In princicpal approval letter. When start working, you will need to submit your white immigration pass to your employer for them book an appointment for you with MOM. You will then need to go back to MOM one more time to collect your working pass.

Can anyone here clarify whether it is possible for me to drive a Singapore car with my malaysian driving license? My work permit started early of this month.

Please help me clear this confusion as I have heard a lot of different stories about this.

when you guys applied for jobs in singapore,
did you guys go to singapore for the interviews
or you guys asked for phone interviews?
do they consider phone interview for malaysians?
*
no matter how many phone interviews you attended, you will need to attend at least one face to face interview.

But if u change other job / renew your EP,
then u need to wait for another 1 year so that u can drive SG registered car?

I really doubt you can "renew" that privillage. That one year only last from the date u receive your pass ( first pass) for a year. Speak to the Traffic Police at 6547 0000 for more info.

eh guys, buy low-end phone for sister, better to buy here or in KL? i sort of remember SG supposed to be cheaper cos no import duty (but offset by GST?), but it's been ages since I bought a low-end handset.

Also ... us wp/sp/ep holders still can get GST refund at airport?
*
NO. don't buy in singapore. With the current exchange rate, its much cheaper to get them in malaysia. Don't go to the shopping complexes, go to smaller shops or emporiums to get the best deal. I bought Samsung Colby II for S$ 180 but in malaysia it only cost around RM 360. Moreover, the warranty is only in Singapore so its going to be troublesome if something happens to the phone. So far, I think the money earn in Singapore if spent in Malaysia no matter if its Electrical , electronic or shirt is cheaper.
