QUOTE(weikee @ Oct 10 2011, 09:46 PM) Very big, you put it on the ground floor? what happen to Syabas? is your area frequent water disrupt? yes its on ground floor, cause single story , no "upper-cement" slab/platform place to place it.. my place its LAP , piping too old, and full of shit/rust/sand/soil what ever, water pressure damn low... need about 5 mins plus to fill my toilet flush so need a big tank to keep additional water This post has been edited by JinXXX: Oct 10 2011, 11:48 PM |

QUOTE(ozak @ Oct 11 2011, 08:34 AM) It is pretty common to have extra tank at the ground floor in others country. Why not here. My friend house have 6 tank for his 1st storey house! WHATTT ? 6 tanks ? how big is each tank , when i saw my tank i was like, damn its super big.. Even I have 2 tank link, auto feedback when no water from syabas for entire house. Can last me few day. how big is your 2 tanks ozak ? suddenly feel like wanting to build a rain water harvesting system what do you mean by "auto-feedback" ?? care to explain the connection/piping for it This post has been edited by JinXXX: Oct 11 2011, 10:25 AM |

@ozak
oh those kind of tank is usually used for rainwater storage can be "re-purposed" to be water tank also, but kinda hard to find suppliers and its not that cheap also.. just curious, your friend has 6 of those *in the picture you shared*, cause each 1 of those is considered a tank.. or your friend calculate each segment as a tank ? oh okie using a check valve, noted This post has been edited by JinXXX: Oct 11 2011, 01:34 PM |

hey guys just a dumb/curious question
let's say i got 2 tanks.. 1 on the roof(100gal) and the other on the ground floor(500gal) how do i let my roof tank fill up first before filling up my ground floor tank.. i can't pipe the roof tank to fill the ground floor tank, cause that will cause all the water to fill the ground floor tank which leads the roof tank to be empty most of the time... |

QUOTE(zheilwane @ Oct 14 2011, 09:36 PM) Never tried this before, but i guess this should work. Why u wanna do so? oh damn.. didnt thought of that... hmm yeah... this method could work...The main will fill up the top tank first. WHen water level reaches the top level, it will flow down to the ground floor tank. Once the ground floor tank is filled upto the infill valve level, the water will stop. Hence, the main water will continue to fill up the top floor tank until it reaches the max level which will then turn off the infill valve and stop the water from entering the top tank. thanks, damn why didn't think of that,, Added on October 14, 2011, 10:03 pm QUOTE(ozak @ Oct 14 2011, 09:29 PM) Why cannot? Just pipe out from the roof tank. Put a ball shutoff for the ground tank. When fill up, the ball will shutoff. The main pipe continue fill up the roof tank. cannot cause the top tank will be drained first..so like zhen said.. need to have an outlet that is higher... QUOTE(RickRock @ Jan 14 2012, 02:24 AM) Hi guys, 1. no leak for now.. I just got my key for a sub-sales 10year old DSL house. Renovation will start after CNY. The water pressure is "OK" for now. But has been planning to 'upgrade' my master room toilet with bathtub and normal instant heater. Here are some of my questions, hope can get some advice. 1. The house is vacant currently, the meter reader is the same since the 1st time i walk in until today, (more than 2 weeks), so do this means that the house no pipe leak? 2. The risk for installing Grundfos pump, is possible that the original pipe cannot take the pressure and cause water leak on the join? 3. Do Grundfos pump required yearly maintenance? Thanks 2. there is a high possibility for that.. especially at joints.. and where the thread met outlets/shutoff valve... 3. not sure not using gfos.. |

regarding the NRV , how good is the "seal" ?
usually the pump pressure is higher than incoming.. one.. if the NRV seal isn't good.. the meter run terbalik and get no water at all ? or its somehow equalize ? cause im planning to do a "auto-bypass" for pump when got power trip/no electric.. |
