EVERY SINGLE KEEPER out there will be linked to us. Even Buffon! its up to us to look at it critically, and see which makes sense and which is just sensationalized news.

Sneijder is an example of the long running "discussions" than we have. everytime theres a search on midfield, the news will report him, and us fans will be like hyper. But wind is just wind. Neuer is just one of those long going transfers too, since last season even when people are speculating if VDS gonna retire.
there's nothing to warn. At the end of the day, when these transfers doesnt happen, and the team ends up having a bad run, then u will see what kinda posts comes out. "Oh we should have bought Ozil, our midfield lacks creativity". Where do we end up now? top of the table, 7 points on top. whose player tops the assist chart? NANI, our existing player. Bale for Player of the year is bullocks. If anything, VDV deserved it more from the tott camp. Heck Lennon is a better winger than Bale when it comes to EPL.

QUOTE(beck_ken @ Apr 21 2011, 04:39 AM) That why early today i said, now I more worry Chelsea than Arsenal. However, the maximum points for both Chelsea and Arsenal can get are 79. Let fight till the end SAF's target of the season is 85. If we wanna reach that we gotta win all games after this |

QUOTE(Sheep319 @ Apr 21 2011, 09:55 AM) we're actually up against Chelsea 2 matches before the season ends? Chelsea is the 3rd last game. Fixtures are: this is gonna be piss tough. i can tell you this, a draw against Chelsea means title is everyone's to win. Everton H Arsenal A Chelsea H Blackburn A Blackpool H Everton is a must win game, while it would be a huge boost if we can deny both Arsenal and Chelsea a win, even if that means drawing both of them - i dont mind. Blackburn away would be a bit tricky, and if it really comes to this, Blackpool at home to finish it off. Added on April 21, 2011, 12:21 pm QUOTE(dundermifflin @ Apr 21 2011, 12:09 PM) this. Wenger is a bad loser. 'unfortunately', most of their players arent. lol...i think bad/sore loser just means someone who shows lack of sportsmanship after a lost (so is a poor winner if lack of sportsmanship after a win). Its not whether someone can accept defeat or not. SAF is a bad loser too. so is Ferdinand, Neville, Keane, etc.. Giggs openly admitted he's a bad loser. i believe more than half of our team are bad loser.. and winners are normally bad loser.. they cant accept defeat. the questions are, whether they react +vely or -vely.. "A competitor who exhibits poor sportsmanship after losing a game or contest is often called a "sore loser" (those who show poor sportsmanship after winning are typically called "bad winners"). Behavior includes blaming others, not taking responsibility for personal actions, reacting immaturely or improperly, making excuses for one's loss, referring to unfavorable conditions or other petty issues. A bad winner acts in a shallow fashion such as gloating about his or her win, "rubbing it in the face" of the one who lost and lowering the opponent's self-esteem by constantly reminding him of how poorly he performed in comparison (even if he participated well)." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_loser This post has been edited by pyroboy1911: Apr 21 2011, 12:21 PM |

Just something that comes to my mind when seeing Keane scored against Arsenal in the link posted above:
How many goals have our central midfield scored this season? Scholes + Carrick + Fletcher + Anderson + Gibson (did I miss out on anyone?) Answer is 1+0+ 3 + 2 + 1 = 7. and this is from all competitions this season. I guess they contribute more in other ways, for example in hassling players. But hhmm...7 goals from 5 midfielders are not looking good. Schools used to bang in at least 10 during his prime season alone. But if the numbers of goal we have doesn't drop, that means the goals come from strikers + wingers. But do you think we could benefit from a scoring midfielders? Not to say attacking mid, just someone that can score as well as dictate midfield play. Aka prime scholes. |
