hi i need help.
i had help my bro to jb and unlock his iphone 3gs before on 4.2.1. now he wants me help his friend
s iphone 3gs on 4.3 . i tried to revert back to 4.2.1 and failed (read about the one regarding apple dont let u use older firmware), so i tried on 4.3.2 . created cfw with snowbreeze but when restoring on itunes it shows 1604 error.

i tried the tinyumbrella to get the shsh and it say cant never get it anymore.
pening2 already. now trying on 4.3.3

Means you dont have SHSH so you only can get on to iOS4.3.3 now

Go for 4.3.3, since it has been jailbroken, might as well not go through all the loops to get 4.3.2 installed and get 4.3.3 instead.

Just jailbroken my friend's new iPhone 4 on 4.3.3 and also upgraded my other friend's 3Gs to 4.3.3 as well using redsn0w (these are factory unlocked phones). No problem whatsoever with the jailbreaking, the activation etc etc .... a cinch really.

im getting the firmware now, later try.
do i need to fetch the shsh for 4.3.3 on tinyumbrella or just cfw and restore??

If its a unlock phone just upgrade using stock fw and use redsnow to jailbreak. TinyUmbrella is not need since its the latest fw. but if u wanna save ur shsh for ios4.3.3 then get tiny umbrella

I've JailBreak my iPhone using RedSnow from
iOS 4.3.2 to 4.3.3 but my device can't
detected the carrier. I've browsed to Setting
but no carrier column appeared. I'm using Celcom
iPhone unit.

Any idea what when wrong or any solutions for
this issue?

i need to unlock it , so need to use snowbreeze.
probably just save the shsh first just in case

erm another thing is, i had backup the iphone before on 4.3 . this backs up everything in 4.3 or i could use later on 4.3.3? the owner said he didnt care if data/contact lost , but useful for me later

If you need to unlock the phone then STAY AWAY from redsn0w. Use sn0wbreeze or Pwnagetool (if you're using a Mac).

Yes, the backup from 4.3 can be restored on the 4.3.3

It could be a locked phone. Before you jailbreak did u have this problem?

He mentioned that it's a Celcom iPhone unit so it should be factory unlocked.

Does Celcom sell iPhone? I didnt know that hahhaha... oh well then it could be the jailbreak fault... sorry my bad

Wahkaka, I think I just fscked my filesystem. My iPhone now constantly loops at boot up exactly TWO TIMES after a power + home button hard reboot. STRANGELY ENOUGH, it still works fine after the 2nd reboot though.

Funny really. Power off, respring all work fine. Only hard reset.

Manual fsck with mobile terminal exits with a section 8 error, seems that my /dev/rdisk0s2s1 (whatever that is) has corrupted volume catalogues or something. Not fun.

I wonder if I can manually repair the filesystem without having to restore, really.

Thankfully I just brought PkgBackup, time to put that 20 buck purchase to good use. I still malas wanna restore however, lets see if the system can last a few more weeks with a dirty file system.

Or if someone has a fix for an Iphone with corrupted filesystem volume headers lol.

restored succesful to 4.3.3
but failed in unlocking. prompted "Unable to load network list"

This is default restore or jailbreak for 4.3.3? Which set is it from?
Try enable your Network > 3g and Celular Data?

successfully jb my iphone to 4.3.3 using Redsn0w 0.9.6rc16. mine is celcom set.

i think u can't discuss pirate stuff here~
