That's one of the best shots of the moon posted here taken with a standard camera and normal telephoto! What equipment are you using? It looks like it will be excellent for recording the moon phases and both solar and lunar eclipses.
My Casio is quite cacat at shooting the moon unaided...hehe. You can see for yourself how bad it is on page 12, post #229 of this thread. Don't blame me if you vomit..... laugh.gif

julchin_09, don't worry too much about trying to understand what we are talking about. Astrophotography is fun when you experiment with what you have. It gets boring when you get too technical.

BTW what happened to Choostar? She seems to have disappeared in Oct 2005. As a member of APGM, she would be great to help us out here!

Thanks for the encouragement. I can only wonder and imagine what you guys with high-tech telescopes would be seeing. BTW, Should I get one, how much for a reasonably spec-ed one? Im guessing its in the thousands right?

P:S You haven't told what you're using..... tongue.gif

You know, your conversations recently have only garnered responses from a selected few Knowledgable in space jargon. Most of us just sit back and try our best to decipher it ala Robert Langdon. Will try to read up more sites on this.

Im used a Camera with 432mm telephoto to get the moon pictures..... blush.gif

Yay, she has been disappeared for such a long time. By the way, I think Julchin is using his brand new S3 IS. biggrin.gif The moon shot is really great! The quality of the details is over 8/10. rclxms.gif

It's exactly the same bro. I get it from the Malaysia dealer named Mr.Looi. I don't think he has the second hand unit left. By the way, when are you going to meet me?

Edited:The sky now is just too clear and the forecast system can't even expect this. I am setting up my telescope now! drool.gif

jealous, jealous, jealous,.......

Eithanius, let's do some Serious Astrophotography with our SNP tonite! laugh.gif

julchin_09, if you're looking East, that's Jupiter. If you're looking West, then that's most likely Sirius, the dog star.

SNP stands for Starry Night Pro. The latest version is 5.8

I can take photos throught my telescope. I forgot that I have a camera that can do macro photography... Damn, if I could remember it, I can take the photos of open clusters and Jupiter GREAT RED SPOT! I finally observed it! I gonna write another observation report in my blog. rclxm9.gif

Yep, Starry Night Pro is what we call a `planetarium in your pc' program. It simulates the sky (night and day) for any location on earth. Some of us in this thread think it's the coolest software of its kind available today......but then we could be a wee bit biased. laugh.gif

So how was last night?
