no. just trying to understand where you are coming from.
i didnt track all your posts here but based on what i see,
i assume you know about the pelepasan cukai for sspn if you are depositing for your kids.
since he's 3, i assume your question is not about what happen if he's already 18, will i be able to withdraw on his behalf since he is of age.
as a fellow parents, here's what i know and can say:
1. I am also maximizing 8k per year for my children, for the pelepasan cukai.
2. when you create the sspn account, it will be under your ic number, then under your sspn account, it will be your son account with his ic number. they call it penerima manfaat. only this kind of setup will allow you to lepas cukai.
3. i have 2 daughters, so under my acc, i have 2 kids account.
4. in that sense, there is no issue for you to withdraw for him. if after 18, I'm not 100% sure.
5. for withdrawal, you can even do it online from the sspn site to your bank acc.(I think must be under your name). they mentioned something like within 7-10 days. but generally speaking money will be in your acc within few days.
hope this helps.
May I know, if I don have kid now, can I open sspn account under my name? I know I can’t claim tax relief for this. But, hearsay the dividend is around 4%, still better than FD
But, if I have kid later, is that I need to open new acc later to claim tax relief?
Is there any issue in future to open for kid under my name later if I’ve individual acc now.
