Is the SSPN interest calculated on the same basis as EPF (interest calculated from the last day of the month even if the deposit is made on the first day of the month)?

The sspn deposit may follow the EPF style, where the amount deposited this month, say on 1 Dec 2016, will only be taken into a/c for dividend calculation only on 1 Jan 2017. But will-i-am put it correctly - it's the tax relief that's important.

don't know how ptptn calculates dividend. to get 57 sen, the rate is 3.4675% (if based on 1 day ala EPF) but it was 4% for 2015 deposits! however 4% x 1/365 = 66 sen.

at least for EPF we know that EPF will use 1 day for the month of deposit irregardless of the date of deposit.
