cars like Honda and Toyota are using -30 mineral / semi synthetic and -40 fully synthetic engine oils already for all their models for better efficiency. Same goes for other manufacturers already.

Why Proton still using heavy weight dinosaur engine oils???

For me i prefer GSR CK..i had use a mitsu engine b4 and its so reliable...less problem...saw one gen2 prefitted with dat..sprinting so dame fast..even ori..

Actually i have no doubt on our suspension and handling..dame it was good even compared to my lowered x satria with lowered spring and hard absorber but handling i still prefer persona even stock...

but engine wise,seeems got alittle of hiccup ere and there..and it seems our ECU is set to limit the engine performance..


Just like older version of wira/satria manufactured b4 2001 with mitsu ecu and engine compared to after 2002 with siemens ECU..dame alot of diff interms of power wei...

It would be so good if some1 have the heart to map our current ECU to free the limitations...of course with a reasonable price la..

just back from exhaust shop..they ask me better not to assembly the hotbits extrator . The extractor i bring ,the exhaust censor is attach at the 1st&3rd pipe only, they said it will bring problem when i send for tunning & the fuel consumption will increase kao kao... proton sc guy also told me the same... many customer having the same problem after attach this stuff... i ask the exhaust guy is it all the customer having this problem, he said on nasib... =.= how ? xandras sifu, help me... what should i do ?????

No such thing la.. My FC still low mah.. Mind u my car is auto, & it's doing close to 9.3L/100KMs even when I F&F... 1 thing u need to do, once u installed the extractor u need to tune ur ECU again as the readings might be slightly different since the O2Sensor is relocated. Other than that no problems wan la..

Cos Campro hi-reve engines.. Most of the hi-rev engines promote usage of heavier oil for maximum protection at full speed.. If u were to use ur car for mainly city or standard speed cruising then u can use 30/40.. AMS have 0W-20 oil.. Sure got high performance, but engine lifespan will also shorten a lot lah..

Drive in city with heavy traffic jam then below 400km per 40L lah.. If cruise at around 60-100 along highways then 500km a tank can reach lah..

Hi.. Idemitsu quite good loh.. XD.. Not sure as not many ppl has tested it out.. But dont use Shell Helix Ultra/HX7 lah.. That one blacklisted oil.. haha..

Ur Aura is so old.. Everything stick and melted together ady lah.. haha... Yeah my next car also i want to have something of better quality.. Unless campro turbo is damn good.. I will go for Honda.. V-tec FTW!

If u want worry free belt buy GATES brand.. can last up to 100k km and is very good quality.. Price wise definitely lower than 570..

Idemitsu japanese brand lah.. Might not be so suitable for Msian designed high tolerance engine.. If can u give Castrol Magnatec/Edge a try.. Its very good.. My engine now till the end of mileage also engine oil not so black and engine feels like almost new..
