Any nice and not so expensive stay at Ubud to recommend? Was looking for Tegal Sari but already full then now I'm trying Green Field. Any others that is something like those and the price is around that also. Thanks.

Day 1 really pack..Anyway, since you're going from Bersakith towards tegalalng, for sure passing by Kintamani. Why skip Kinatamani/Batur? Anyway, Kintamani Batur must be in the morning otherwise u see nothing in Evening haha.
Gunung Kawi is in another region. Prettyu far- no point going there actually. Not really great view once you reach there. The Jatiluweh rice terraces better view than the temple. Any others that is something like those and the price is around that also. Thanks. Its always safe to book, but you could just walk around over there and find a decent place, and its cheaper too. Thats what i did both my trip, not a problem, and you could have a view before deciding, also found its cheaper to walk in. Just my POVThis post has been edited by VeeJay: Jun 23 2011, 01:34 PM |

No need but if you wanna really confirm, just call the hotel or email them direct giving them your asiarooms booking no.

QUOTE(stimix @ Jun 22 2011, 02:13 PM) Use Agoda, asiarooms & etc. Most of the time booking using these discounted websites cheaper than direct booking. If you use skype wth skype credit (prepaid US$10), you can call everywhere in the world for years wth the US$10. I called numerous times & even called back M'sia from Oversea using skype. Bought the credit ~ 2007 and till now still having ~ US$6 balances.. just got back from Bali .. Overall a good trip.
But really tiring. A word of advice to those planning your itinerary ... even though Bali looks small on the map .. traveling by car is really time consuming. Plan your itinerary to focus on north on one day , south on another day. i.e A visit to Tanah Lot - Nusa Dua - Ulawatu - Jimbaran took the whole day for me |

QUOTE(akira de aimbuster @ Jun 23 2011, 05:17 PM) I see, I didnt notice that the timing was actually that bad Hmnm I'm forgetting my travels... anyways, this is what I did, i did up a tentative itinerary on where to go and when. Then I reach Bali, I had a discussion with the driver, to suggest the route, and it worked out to me well. As 71ers and other as mentioned, its difficult to go all around, the road condition is such (narrow, hilly like cameron), hence drive is slow, but enjoying. Take you time. my trip was done in 6 days, so i had good time, and not that tiring. |

QUOTE(akira de aimbuster @ Jun 23 2011, 05:17 PM) I see, I didnt notice that the timing was actually that bad Here are some suggestions. Don't worry about timing, take your time, just plan your itinerary to go one direction. After all, you are going to book driver for a day. Example, Kintamani is north, so just follow the route - Barung dance (which to me can skip altogether), batubulan for the stone carving, and the few villages which i just skip, then u will reach the rice planting hill at Tegalalang, Mt Batur, Kopi Lawak, Tempak Siring, Goa Gajah and then Ubud for shopping and end with dinner at dirty duck. And suggest don't go Geger Beach, i can't think of anything special except for cleaner water. |
