Why is it that Malaysia only has F2A55-M LK2 Plus? I'm looking for the F2A55-M LK Plus, but all the stores apparently only carry the LK2 variant. I want to use an EAH6670/DI/1GD3 with an A10 for dual graphics, but I also need the adjacent PCIe x1 slot for a Sonnet FireWire card (the front panel has a FireWire port and I don't want it being useless), and I understand that the said EAH6670 card will block the x1 slot. On the original LK, since there is two PCIe x1 slots, I can insert the FireWire card into PCIe x1 slot 2 and just leave slot 1 blocked by the graphics card.

a short and simple answer, the F2A55-M LK2 Plus and F2A55-M LK Plus share almost identical spec and price. therefore we decided to bring in the F2A55-M LK2 Plus only. in this context, we are sorry that for your special case the F2A55-M LK Plus suits you better.

a short and simple answer to you. we decided to focus on MAXIMUS V Formula instead as the local OverClocking community seems to be in dire state. while the Water Cooling community is growing each day. Of course there's a few OverClockers (e.g owikh84) out there who did inquire about it.

Depends on your usage thou. Unless you demand for something high end :3
Even now, you can make a decent gaming PC from RM 3xxx onwards
Of course you go for AMD would be cheaper.

i'm using amd processor too but i change it cooler using coolermaster, silent and more cooler.

I also have a second reason for a LK Plus instead of a LK2 Plus. Although this one is less critical.

I have a Sony BDU-X10S BD-ROM drive. I previously thought the drive was broken when I switched to using AHCI for the advantages it brings with SATA hard disks and the drive stopped working, but now I found out that the fault lies within the extremely failtastic firmware Sony wrote- the drive only supports IDE instructions even though it has a SATA interface, and will not operate with chipsets in AHCI mode. Even worse is that Sony refuses (or cannot) fix the flaw. I found out that on the LK Plus, SATA ports 5 and 6 operates independently from ports 1 to 4 and that I can set ports 5 and 6 to "Legacy IDE" to cater to the drive while having ports 1-4 work in AHCI so the hard disks can still have full performance. On the LK2, there is no ports 5 and 6 and thus I have to leave the hard disks crippled in IDE mode if I choose to use the BD-ROM drive.

But yeah. Biggest deal breaker is that I need both a PCIe x16 and a PCIe x1 slot, and on the LK2, installing a EAH6670 to unleash dual graphics means that I can not use the adjacent PCIe x1 slot.

Maybe Asus should make a single slot version of the EAH6670 to go with the LK2
