You mean nVidia cards.

Anyway, for nVidia cards, you can only SLI cards of the same model e.g a GTS250 with a GTS250, not a 9800GTX with a 9800GT as an example. AMD cards are much more flexible and as long as they're in the same family then you can CrossfireX them, though I wouldn't exactly suggest that anyone do that cause the faster card will be bottlenecked by the slower card.
*
Ah sorry, NVIDIA cards. But it is stated in NVIDIA's faqs that cards of the same series can be SLI-ed. But the prefix must be the same, which you have reiterated (i.e. 9800GTX can't SLI with 9800GT).

Dude, stop misleading people. You can't sli a GTX570 with a GTX 580.

My apologies everyone. NVIDIA did say that cards with the same GPU can be SLI-ed together; GTX 570 and GTX 580 both has the GF110 chip. However, memory types and volume must also be the same. Hence, they can't be SLI-ed.

for asus user outside KL, is there any alternative way of joining this competition? Mailing application form is accepted? rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

It depends on your locality. Usually it only takes about a week but if you're residing in a state that is other than KL, Penang and JB, then the dealer will have to travel to the service centre to collect the new motherboard for you. Where are you staying by the way?

As for the lucky draw, we are only conducting it in Low Yat Plaza and Digital Mall.

Apologies. Our service centre in JB under development. So in the mean time, you will have to liaise with the dealer that you bought from. Give them a call and see how you can arrange for your mobo to be swapped.

Q- why cant i register my casing at ASUS vip site? is ASUS vento 7700.

Q- Lucky draw box is located where in lowyat? cant seems to find it when i purchase ASUS Mobot and DVDrw.
*
You can go to any of the DIY dealer shops in lowyat or digital mall if you're in Klang Valley.

Q1 - Right now, we didn't bring in mouse, keyboard or PSU. We do have headphones though. You should check with Build Technology. Give them a call and ask which dealers in your locality are selling ASUS headphones. Their number is 03-7955 3699.

Q2 - What is the error you are facing when registering your product?

Q3 - You can find the lucky draw boxes at dealer shops in lowyat. Just search for the 2X Winner visuals.

QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ Aug 28 2011, 10:43 PM)
For some reason, my ASUS GTX560 Ti DirectCU II card seems to have gone semi-faulty. I just came back home a few minutes back, and everything seemed fine until the nVidia driver kept crashing multiple times. I thought it was an issue with the latest nVidia driver ( 280.26 ) but reverting to 275.50 doesn't seem to have helped.

In fact, when it was reverted, I could see lines flickering here and there for a bit, and some blemishes on my screen's wallpaper ( a curved-line patch of green as if someone used paint and edited windows' default wallpaper ). This quite convinced me that the card has indeed gone faulty for no apparent reason.

Because the seller that I bought the GTX560 Ti from has made it clear that any warranty issue should be handled by the buyer ( me ), I am unable to send it back to him to request for a replacement card. So ASUSMY, I'd like to know where can I send the card personally for warranty before I turn to the members offering warranty services here. Please reply as fast as possible, thanks.

Right now it's working fine at the moment after I shut my system down and turned it back on rather than reboot like I did previously. But I don't want to take any chances and would like to return this card for a replacement card.
Update 1 : Looks like the card is still working fine even when being stressed by MSI Kombustor, and when running Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Left 4 Dead 2. I'll continue the testing of the card and if the issue doesn't appear again, I'll probably call off my request for a replacement card.

Update 2 ( 01 Sept ) - Looks like it was indeed an isolated incident. I'm currently suspecting something else as the source of the problem and and concluded that the card itself is totally problem-free.
*
Oh so if the card isn't faulty, what seems to be the problem? Have you tried using a different graphics card?

If I purchase an asus component from overseas, and it has problem, can deal with local distributor?

Hi AsusMy

does asus maximus IV extreme has UEFI bios? There's confusion over the description here, on the Overview and Spec. Overview mention EFI bios, while Spec mention UEFI Bios.

Compare to P8P67 boards, UEFI Bios are featured prominently on the Overview section.

Want to know, cos i'm considering to purchase either of this (P8P67 deluxe and Maximus IV Ext). Thanks.
*
Yes, it does have UEFI BIOS.

Hi All... I Just get my new toy P8Z68 Deluxe... and i am stuck before implement her.
i need some opinions from experts here ^^
i am going to reinstall a fresh copy of the Windows 7 Ultimate, and i know that z68 can make the SSD become a cache drive. thats make me no idea how to setup my rig now.
i got a OCZ Vertex3 SSD and a WD Black Edition HDD
1. SSD(Cache) : HDD(OS + DATA)
2. SSD(OS) : HDD(DATA)
which setup will get the better performance?
Thanks ^^
*
You cannot install the OS onto the SSD if it is acting as the cache. You can however, assign a portion of the disk space for data but not OS installation.

Here's a guide on how to set it up!

sorry if i've posted in the wrong thread, but, is it true, an ASUS p5kc motherboard (socket 775) cannot run windows 7? I tried installing and the installation won't run, always stuck at 0% (left the com at that state for ~24hrs)

next i tried installing the OS on another motherboard (it works), and then re-attach the pre installed windows 7 hdd back into my asus p5kc, but it wont run either, saying it's missing some files..
*
There shouldn't be a problem installing Windows 7 on it as I myself have a Socket 775 mobo with a quad-core CPU and I was able to install W7 just fine.
What is the exact model of this motherboard and perhaps you can list down the rest of your specs.

What Celestia said is right. Use SSD as the system and you will get much better performance.
