=) good luck to everyone who hunting for z68! i just got my p8z68-v pro yesterday, its seem like a downgrade from p8p67 deluxe but the price really killing lol so i go for the lower board instead ! so far so good!

most important! intel lied about the 3 years time frame of the storage controller degradation! in my previous system, after 3 months of heavy usage my PC will hang ONCE in a while or sometime explorer.exe crash etcs! but today this new z68 board after 24 solid hours of stress test, there din hav any syndrom of storage issue!

p.s i am still an asus user  tongue.gif

Glad to know that! biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Gametubeing @ May 21 2011, 11:51 AM)
anyone know how much do geforce gtx 550 ti cost in malaysia ?
*
The GTX 550 Ti cost RM559 while the TOP version costs RM599.

QUOTE(sapik900906 @ May 22 2011, 12:07 PM)
guys. want to ask. asus mobo p8p67-le can do replacement for b3 revision?
*
Any Intel 6 series chipset board is applicable for swap.

QUOTE(sapik900906 @ May 23 2011, 06:33 PM)
anyone have experience with jayacom before ?? for swaping b3 mobo..
how their feedback?

Added on May 24, 2011, 8:56 pmjust got feedback from jayacom from their fb when i ask about this B3 swaping program, here it is:
"just return back to the branch that you purchase with, and we gonna send it back to the manufacture as a warranty swap, once the board arrive back in our hand we will once inform you that it's ready to collect biggrin.gif do know that this process will undertake around 1 - 3 weeks."
i thought, they will give me on the spot like state in 1st page. but sadly no..
*
If your dealer is giving you problems, you can do the swap at our royal club. Just call them and inform them that you want to pop by and swap your board. Here's their number - +603-2148 0827.

QUOTE(billytong @ May 25 2011, 11:25 AM)
Royal club is just across the road @ imbi, call customer support deal directly with them, or ask Jayacom to work with royal club to make the swap happen. It is their job to do it. if it require u to head over royal club, do it(it is near jayacom anyway). Just inform them, give ur mobo serial number then give them a few days to make arrangement.

Asusmy already said it is able to swap 1 to 1 directly on the spot.
*
Ditto! icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(billytong @ May 25 2011, 08:31 PM)
Well, I insist on swapping on the spot. They did a full swap for me including the accessory.  tongue.gif

Thanks to Asusmy and CEX for arranging the smooth swap. I am satisfied smile.gif

Have you upgraded to honeycomb 3.1? You could also try finding the sound hotkey on the keyboard and see if that activated the mute.

Depends on what you're using. What do you need the graphics card for mostly?

To play games. I dont really need high end graphic card tho. Just enough fps. smile.gif
*
Well the GT 440 is more of an entry-level graphics card catered for video decoding and less demanding games, so you won't be able to dish out some good graphics for some games that are graphically heavy. For example, Crysis 2 is a game which should be enjoyed with all, if not most, quality settings set on high. Even at 1024x768 and no AA on, you will be struggling with the graphics. Instead, consider saving up for a GTX 460 or a GTX 560 Ti. The 460 is the best bang for buck card and the 560 Ti comes in second.

Then GT 440 should be just fine. However, if you can wait, we're coming out with a better version of the GT 440 equipped with the DirectCU Silent technology. Meaning, passive cooling and zero noise biggrin.gif

hey guys,
i just bought Asus P8Z68-V Pro coupling with 2500K and TR Venomous-X Black, i want to know what's the deal with built-in display + discrete graphic card.

should i plug both (onboard port (HDMI) and DVI graphic card port)?
*
No, you don't have to. You can plug the monitor cable into the graphics card port if you want to focus on gaming. But if you want to use Lucid Virtu, you will have to enable iGPU multi-monitor in the BIOS. Only then can Lucid Virtu activate.

ok, here's the issue i have about using iGPU + dGPU, primary monitor hooked up to dGPU whilst iGPU to secondary monitor which is set to extended display.

the issue is, everytime i want to play any movie, dragging the main display window to secondary it'll cause no display, no sound, i need to double-click again on the file to run.

this is not happening though when before playing any movie, i run Windows Media Player Classic, drag into secondary display and double click on the movie file.

what is actually a problem here? coding my guees?
*
In the BIOS, did you set PEG as the primary video adapter? And is the IGP enabled or disabled? Also, are you running Lucid Virtu?

QUOTE(artyom @ Jun 20 2011, 04:57 PM)
Anyone know where I can get the new Asus M5A99X EVO m/board?.

I was thinking about getting the Sabertooth 990FX or Crosshair V but they're too pricey and seem to be overkill for me. The M5A99X should be ~$500 and looks perfect for my needs.

You can read the review here if you're interested.
*
We are not selling the M5A99X EVO in Malaysia unfortunately.

QUOTE(AlamakLor @ Jun 24 2011, 12:28 PM)
So is the extreme-z available yet?
*
The Maximus Extreme-Z is available and selling for RM1559.

QUOTE(AlamakLor @ Jun 24 2011, 04:41 PM)
No way in hell this board is worth RM1429. It should be priced the same as P67 version if not cheaper.
*
On the contrary, P67 is an older chipset with less capabilities and technologies so a Z68 board will be priced higher than that, not to mention it comes with more features being an ROG board.

Ideally you should get the same exact card but like herojack41 said, you can can clock the card to run at the same speeds as the other card. However, you MUST adjust every spec to be the same speeds.

QUOTE(acad615 @ Jul 15 2011, 05:29 AM)
I've got some issues with the p8p67 deluxe board.
the pc just wont start, and it shows a "red" cpu led light on the board, which is right next to the cpu fan, I have already called in once, they told me to send the board in for warranty, and so I did.

mean while, when the board is off for warranty, i purchased another board, which is the asus p8h61-m le, and everything works fine.

today i got my board back from warranty, so i replaced back the board (seller did it) after running for a few hours, the same "red" cpu led light came back on.

I ran out of idea of what is wrong. any better suggestion? can there be a refund to this prob?
*
Sounds like a BIOS update is in order. However, did your PC work before? Or the problem surfaced just after assembling the motherboard? I'd assume that the service centre should have already tried updating the BIOS but doesn't hurt to try it yourself. Also, you might wanna check the socket pins to see if they are bent.

You can upgrade the graphics chip if that's what you're asking but the cost of doing so is rather high.

Hi, i wanna retract my earlier statement as that was a mistake. It is stated that one can CrossFire two different models with different specs but they MUST be in the same series (eg. HD6870 + HD6850 or HD 6970 + HD6950)

QUOTE(xearsol @ Jul 18 2011, 11:41 AM)
can my asus engtx570 sli with engtx 580 rog edition?
*
As with AMD graphics cards, you can also SLI two different models with different specs but they must be in the same series AND with the same prefix (e.g. GTX, GTS, GT, etc.) So any model within the 500 series can be SLI-ed. Therefore, you can SLI the GTX 570 with the Matrix 580. But IMHO, you will be wasting money on the Matrix 580 as the faster card will always lower its own speeds to match the slower card. You might as well go for the GTX 560 or the GTX 550.

However, be WARNED. SLI-ing and CrossFiring doesn't necessarily mean it will perform better as it depends on the application's (e.g. the game you're playing) coding.
