Hi there

I been accept an offer from Berjaya Corporation. I would like to know about the staff remuneration, which is HR told me is standard and usual but i want to know more specified.

Do anyone work there before? Could give me some idea on their staff benefit.

- Bonus - annually (1 month or less)
- Increment - annually (based on percentage or round firgure like 100 - 200?)
- Benefit - EPF, SOCSO (i guess normal following table)
- Benefit for berjaya product - discount i guess
- Medical ?
- Annual Leave?
- OT claim??
- Allowance??

Please give me some idea.

For the office staff, the perks a better than the retail (Borders, Wendy's) staff.

Universally though, they all have the BCard for staff discounts. Though getting a discount for an Aston Martin super car is kinda stupid when earning crap salary.
Discounted travel packages to Pangkor for senior staff (saw the flyer when I was interviewed for the Borders MT thing)
Medical benefits, even for lowly permanent store associate.
Then better discounts for the stuff that your division is selling. Ex: Borders staff discounts for books > other Berjaya employees.

How much they pay you? if too private then just list the first digit.
how many years of experience you have?
Curious as you mention your pay is almost the same as your last job !!!

they paid me 2XXx a bit better than my current firm. i had 3 yrs working experience.. so i wonder how the benefit at berjaya.. cause din mention during the interview also

But during interview they told me got OT Allowance.. but i ask how much they said will talk about this when you sign the employment letter... but they send me the employment letter so standard... nothing about staff benefit... just insurance and hospotality cover..

C3 is under what level?? how many level do they hv?

dont join then, some more salary more or less the same.
doesnt worth it, what if you cannot mix your new dept and friends well later.

can't even let a candidate know of the benefits?

maybe they dont have much to offer, or they are so good they wish to keep it to the select few who able to get in.

They didn't mention, just asked me if i can lower down my salary, later or sooner I will get promoted and increase my salary - which is nonsense to me. Which company would not tell you that you will get promoted and salary increment? During your evaluation, they can say you are not good enough, you have other areas to improve etc, straight away wipe out all the efforts you ever put in.

I don't like HR bargain salary without first interviewing me face to face. Somemore that day they just called me and interview me.

If they ask me to provide salary slip, i will not provide. That's my privacy. If you think my performance can't meet your target, then just fire me during probation. If you don't trust me in the first place, better don't hire me. laugh.gif

Actually it's the Recruitment Agency that called me. But whatever "evidence" they wanted was requested by Berjaya, just not sure which dept of Berjaya that asked for it.

The department that I'm applying is Corporate Communiations Dept. smile.gif

Of course.

Better else, ask the HR to give you the employee handbook. Each company should have it, that handbook mentions clearly all staff benefits, allowance, annual leave, etc. smile.gif

Bonus <- standard 1 month for big company.
Increment <- depend on percentage .. kinda low for low salary smile.gif
Benefit - EPF, SOCSO <- this is standard lor
Benefit for berjaya product <- yes... berjaya product got... but only starbuck satisfied me ... lol and mostly all restaurant inside BTS got discount as well..
Medical < - MC i not sure... but i think its sufficient for me to use.. claim <- so far all can be claimed .. unless u every week claimed more than 1 times .. lol
Annual Leave <- me is 18 days annually.. not sure bout ur department. but mostly its same
OT claim <- never OT if ur boss din asked you.
allowance<- what kind of allowance u mean?

u have to attend staff orientation after u join them, then they will inform u all benefits offered to the staff...
