no, just flash the GB MIUI straight, every ROM is completely independent, so you don't have to "flash a stock 2.3" first.

its currently still on beta phase, but its already stable enough for everyday uses.

give it a try, its refreshing compared to 2.2 based MIUI nod.gif

Thanks for the tip, Jedi.

Just installed setcpu, scaling on smartass.

Thanks.

Update : Yep, setcpu helps to conserve battery notworthy.gif

personally I'm addicted to MIUI ROM as well tongue.gif can't get myself to migrate to other ROM anymore.. doh.gif

no idea about the backup things ..I just use TB and only restore the apps,
this means I have to re setup every settings sweat.gif and its getting tiring, I'll try using MIUI backup next time

don't want to spoil it for you, but a lot of elements in the new UI makes me go wow laugh.gif

yup its me, using sunglobal battery
regarding the battery performance, so far from what I've experienced using it,
is that it can last AT LEAST a full day or more compared to the stock battery
which used to only last me about 3/4 day given the same amount of usage.

before changing, I used to always finish up my battery before reaching home, or at least battery low
now its always near 30~40% at the end of the day, unless maybe if I gave it a more heavier usage than usual.

I can safely say it does boost the battery life quite significantly,
but after using it awhile I find that it doesn't solve the heat problem actually, mainly because the heat actually comes from the cpu.
and the battery stats are quite inconsistent sometimes,
like for example, after a session of heavy usage, it shows the battery at 24%,
but after letting it idle for awhile it jumps back to say 25 or 26%,
which is actually a good thing, but still its inconsistent.
its especially during the first few weeks, now it doesn't happen that often anymore.

for me, if you lower cpu freq for certain state, you will face lagging.
i just use setcpu to overclock only.

yeaps, but most of the stuff, you wouldn't use.
cm7 just give you the basic thing need to run your android.
basic thing for me..market, terminal, and file manager.
thatz all. other than that, you can get on market.
file manager, let you browse app to install .apk. such TB.
then by TB you restore all the thing.
