What is the difference between da card and cimb bank card?
*
Direct Access was formerly a sub-brand by Southern Bank (something like MACH by Hong Leong Bank) where their products are targeted at graduates/professionals.

Don't go waste your time wondering about DA, just apply for CIMB cards tongue.gif

Hiieee guys .  biggrin.gif
I am a YouthSavers account user here.
Have a few questions on buying stuffs online using my card( considered a credit card right?) (MasterCard)
i) Usually how , after entering all the information on my card eg. Credit card number , security num how will they deduct the money from the account (confirmation e-mails on me purchasing the stuffs are all sent) ?
Computerized ?
*
Your card is a Debit Card i.e. you need money in the account for your transaction to be successful. No email will be sent to you for any transaction with your card; however, you may receive a SMS Alert informing you that you have made a transaction (CIMB has a default value for face to face transaction and as such not all transaction will receive a SMS Alert) In actual fact, DO NOT open any emails that claim to be from the banks.

You can check your balance via your online account e.g. CIMB Clicks or ATM to see if amount has been deducted.

Any difference between visa infinite, world master card and visa signature? I know visa signature is a tier lower than the other 2 but the benefit seems similar. 1x points for local spending n x2 for oversea spending. plus they ranked all 3 cards as premier for promotion wise. Is there any significant differences among all 3 cards? thx
*
As far as dining is concerned, you are right but there are difference - for example, the Visa Infinite offers Hilton HHonors Gold Membership for up to 1 year whereas the World MasterCard offers free green fee at selected golf clubs in Malaysia and overseas.

And also the annual income required to be eligible for the type of card and the Visa Signature is now only meant for graduates. Also there is minimum credit limit difference too.

Anyway, for dining promotions, CIMB cards are good, click here to read my article Dining Promotions with My Credit Cards

i dont see the benefits of this card anymore

so far only maximising the rm50 rebate fr ocbc tiitanium and the rest into cimb cc.

perhaps change the cimb cc to the maybank 2 in 1 .....
*
what perhaps? If you can earn more more MBB 2 Cards, what you waiting for?

Having said that, CIMB cards are great for those who make use of the many discount at restaurants and buying liquor at Eraman, Got 20% discount for both Royal Salute and Johnny Walker at Eraman KLIA last week (promo which is more than the 15% I get for other liquor with my WMC or VI).

Recently I published an article titled Online Hotel Booking with My Credit Cards where I did comparison between Agoda.com-Maybank Promo versus HotelClub-CIMB Promo versus HotelClub (non-promo) versus HotelWebsite.

Click on above link to my article and find out if CIMB HotelClub Promo which runs until 31 December 2013 is any good.

And if you have the new CIMB Cash Rebate MasterCard, you are suppose to earn 5% on e-Commerce transactions too.
