if u want to increase it.. put some anti freeze
a lot of the gunk u get are sometimes just chemical residue from manufacturing process on the copper plates/alu/tubing etc...
its not an algae problem with coolants ... the chemical residue from the manufacturing process compounds with the coolant..
it happens with distilled water also except it more invisible... and doesn't form gunk.
u will find gunk will collect in more restrictive areas...
this is my 2 cent on this.
distilled water is good but the amount of heat it holds is just too little.
adding anti freeze( good quality ones) will definitely improve the amount of heat moved.
so solution to be sure of removal of chemical residues etc
cleaning with vinegar is pretty a good solution.
