Ok, since there's no such thread yet, I will start one for Olympus XZ-1 owners.

This is my first macro post. I just bought the camera yesterday. so have absolutely no idea what i am doing. I am just very excited and wanna post...

Hopefully, these point and shoot is acceptable for a 100% noob who knows nothing about aperture/exposure/yadda with a new toy. Haha.

A shot in low light, but this one i think using default ISO...not really sure...i yam blur blur...

This time, i adjust the settings....using the 'P' mode + supermacro and ISO=125 i think. I think this shot is better than the one above right??

Err, imo...
- the lens retracts when in viewing/playback mode.
- lens cap. Wished they hv the built in lens cap.

Yeah.. Size does matter.. once go big.. hard to accept small anymore.

well mount ur cam on tripod and use slow shutter will get tat effect of coz i need ND fliter on for daylight

Any hint & tips on how to use this camera to the fullest? The photos u guys post got Photoshop one ba?

HMM. I'm no spider expert. But I would guesss Golden Orb Weaver. Please go and do your own research on this. I would rule out Golden Silk Spider Nephila clavipes as your spider legs does not have the furry feature.

Using Panorama in Scene Mode. Fresh out of the camera without any editing.

The distortion quite obvious huh.

maybe because i turn the camera around from left to right instead of moving it from left to right..

But supposed to have arrow showing which side to go right?

I'll try to post more shots maybe this weekend...can't find time to go some nice place to take shots...

Or maybe i just post photo of my new Inspira...hehe.

Ok just came back from the Malaysia Flora 2011 an hour ago... a few photos to share...i screw up a lot of photos coz i've set to the wrong SCN mode...

i think you're talking about nodal point, you have to fixed the nodal point first in panorama mode to ensure no parallax error on the photo

Try some Flash shots (within 1-5 meters max)

and then how to fix / recommended quick adjustments to go with it?

(I) Usually events people / group posing shots

(II) Stills / Objects

find it a bit weak on the flash department?
