yea lo bro..i oso scare...haha...but still can tahan for around few weeks right?? need opinion...

btw any sifu can teach me how to change my wira small light?? the headlamp dim light..dunno what its called..haha
thanks

Lower arm = better change. I saw cars with lower arm broken on the road. The tyre will become partially loose and hit the fender, become dented. Then the driving shaft also come out, damaged. Fix cost several hundred fly...

Wira main headlamp dim light ? I think it is single bulb, with 2 filament. Therefore, need to change whole bulb.
My dim light also spoil, but since main light (not high light) is still working, no issue with driving at night.
To change, open bonnet. There is a clip, unhook it.
Then slowly take out the socket with the bulb inside.

Using wira for 1 and half so far so good la.. But I wonder 1 thing is the power window
Keep on kacau. I fix it by changing the motor and everything but still same
Problem after
Awhile, lik stuck when u wind your window up and stuck at middle
Then have to use hand to push up.. and mind is the old wan not the one got auto on the driver side.
*
It's a common Wira problem tongue.gif I locked all my windows, and open driver door when I reach toll plaza, parking entrance/exit, etc. doh.gif

The issue afraid is, once open, cannot close and you need to drive out. Then it starts to rain ... sweat.gif

normally just change the power window rail with the new cable will fix the problem. I think 5 years ago I purchased that part for 38 only, then DIY myself. The power window still working fine since then.
*
For all the 4 doors combined, I think I have changed about 7-9 rails (including warranty claim) doh.gif
Motor no problem though, I think spoil once only.
Nowadays, keep it locked.

When the fuel warning light goes on then off when I accelerate. How much more fuel do I approximately have?
*
a) For my Hero 1.5GLi, when it first start to on/off, I still can go about 80-100km in normal Klang Valley 50% jam and RPM <3.5k
b) When it start to immediate ON when accelerating/uphill and OFF when brake/downhill, then it can still go about 40-50km.

c) When it permanent ON 80-90% even when braking/downhill, it still can go 20km. Speed keep stable 90km/h and no rev.
d) When permanent ON no matter what, <10-15km sweat.gif Do not try acc/uphill.
e) When it OFF after this, it means the engine die already doh.gif Find a big, clean and dry container, and you will need at least 5-10L of fuel for it to restart again, as it is near dry in the tank, and the fuel pump hose can't reach any of the fuel if you put <5L.

Guess how I know ? rolleyes.gif

laugh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

Nowadays I refuel between b and c whistling.gif

QUOTE(GKWong @ Sep 23 2011, 11:36 AM)
wahahahaha you really go and drive till empty tank few times?  notworthy.gif
*
No la, kena one time saja.
That time I already know can move max 5km distance only and already on the way to petrol station after work, but it is slightly uphill. So, kantoi halfway and walk 500m to petrol station 2x times sweat.gif since my container is 2x 1.5L and first round (3L) not enough to start the engine sweat.gif

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Sep 23 2011, 11:41 AM)
This is exactly what I need to know. I'm at (B) this morning, I think I should be able to reach home with remaining few KM. But I chicken out, I went to refuel RM5 and it's back to (A). laugh.gif
*
Another indicator:
My standard white VDO for fuel got 4 bars, and another thicker bar (5th bar) at bottom-most (IINM).
If exactly touch the lowest bar (4th), is (A)
If touch thick-bar (5th) is around (B) and (C )
If inside/middle 5th is (C ) and (D)
if inside/low 5th, prepare for (D) and (E) sweat.gif

And just to share about the "empty-tank not good for pump/engine theory", I've been refilling like this for the past 250+ tanks since new car (mine is old car 9.5 years). So far no issue with anything, except change fuel-filter 2x times only.

If real empty (D) (E), I can pump in 46-48L.
If © (D), around 41-45L
If (B) (C ), around 39-42L

At current price RM1.90, ~40L cost me RM75

Added on September 23, 2011, 12:37 pmAnd for (B) challenge, when it start, I can still drive from Sri Kembangan to KLIA, and then to Damansara Utama. Keep constant ~100km/h @3k RPM.

If I want to re-paint my car with different color, is there any problem with JPJ? because in the registration card it stated different color...
*
Officially, you need to inform JPJ and insurance if repaint to different colour.

Most people feign ignorance, but when accident happens and need to claim, etc. and get rejected by insurance, then they start to mad.gif vmad.gif

Heard before ar insurance rejected because of different colour? My car also different colour from what stated in grant..
*
Real life so far no. Only engine/gearbox/brake-hose/etc. change, insurance reject quite a number of cases.
The above is what the general-insurance company adjusters/seniors/managers share with me.

Yeah, this is when the air vent knob is at "closed/recycle"

Anyone... any advice?
*
In my previous proton, when my aircond mechanic service/clean the honey-comb thing, he helped to take out that plastic box (with flap) for that external-air, and he take some plastic-board, cut, and seal it with several layers of masking tape. Then fixed back and disable the connection. Meaning on the middle dashboard, no matter I swipe that switch, it has no effect. Always internal air circulation only.
No charge for such simple but crude solution.

my car eat engine oil quite serious...
nid around 2 x 4L / change...
means 5000km...
other den top overhaul...
got ani other way to fix it...?
*
Try check eat engine oil is what ? Blue smoke ?
Or oil leak from gasket seals / screw at engine block ?
Or bottom engine leaking ?

Mine was leaking at gasket between top/bottom block.
Did a top overhaul and ensure screws are tightened, no more leaking now.
