mzms: Too bad to hear that. But have you actually tried the legacy OS compatibility mode feature? Or it doesn't work still?
Are you using 32 bit or 64 bit flavor of Windows Vista? I foresee more problems in the 64 bit version.
Most the the applications work well in my Windows Vista though.

QUOTE(king99 @ Feb 25 2007, 10:46 AM) TThe cheepest version of vista is like OEM la......Can it be installed on 1 system than uninstall and install on another....? Nope, you can't do that with OEM version. The license is basically "tied" to the machine and it will die together with it

QUOTE(Skylinestar @ Feb 27 2007, 08:14 PM) my friend tells me that all the vista in the market are ultimate copy inside the DVD.but the difference lies in the product key only, which will then determine the version of vista that's going to be installed. is that true? i'm asking becoz i've never browse through the disc for home and ultimate. For retail copy, the files in the DVD are indeed for ALL versions and it is the product key that verifies what version you should be using

If I'm not mistaken, you STILL need the Xbox360 console. A PC with Windows Vista alone doesn't play Xbox360 games http://www.nforcershq.com/article7376.html

Am a loyal fan of K-lite mega codec pack with Media Player Classic
But every time media player classic is opened, the Aero effect has to be dropped... any workaround or tweaked version that allows MPC to work well with Aero?

QUOTE(dattebayo @ Mar 2 2007, 09:41 PM) how to enable video overlay in WMP11? I cant find the option, comparing overlay and the method now WMP is using, overlay has smoother and sharper image . Added on March 2, 2007, 9:43 pmgo to options -> video output , at the direct show video output there, select any mode other than the overlay and then restart the player. but generally, overlay help in saving CPU usage, and produce better video, IMO Thanks a bunch dude, it helped! CPU usage isn't a matter as I've a C2D processor and I don't think I'm doing anything else while watching video
