OEM needs to be activated too. Everytime you format your PC, of course it has to be re-activated again.
During the first time you install on a used PC, i don't think MS knows that it is NEW or OLD, but during your activation, your hardware info will be submitted to MS, and if MS detects in second activation that you're using different hardware, activation will fail. |

Just back from Lowyat Plaza. Participated the walk hunt and we failed miserably

The retail pack looked cooler than I saw from the web. But I've never regretted getting a OEM since I got my new rig, I'm entitled to it and it's more than 50% cheaper, that's it.
