QUOTE(xDjWanNabex @ Mar 21 2011, 08:27 PM) From the end of April, the HTC Incredible S will be available from HTC authorised retailers at an RRP of RM1,999.00. There's one thing that is so confused to me about that paragraph of text.Thats what i mean, not out yet. So does that mean it will be available in SIS store or their authorized retailers around the end of April? Then when will DIGI launch IS? |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Mar 22 2011, 10:01 AM) This analysis is all wrong. 1) Never had one Android before so don't really know the story.1) The HTC Internal storage sucks...probably left 400MB to 500MB for internal user data. It is an Android pitfall...The Nexus S probably have over 1GB for internal app/storage like the Galaxy S...external card dun mean shit if your internal app space is full. Iphone probably have no such issues. 2) 8MP vs 5MP...no difference. Only an idiot will buy the MP story in this age. Small crapp image sensor with high Megapixel does nothing but creates more noise. HTC is known for crappy cameras. Samsung generally have superior phone cameras. 3) Hummingbird with 540 pawns the Qualcomm with Adreno 205. The only real advantage i can think of is the 720p video recording, but if it's crappy like the HTC Desire 720p recording, then it's useless. The only real advantage ever with HTC phones is the Sense UI....they simply cannot compete on specs with other phones. 2) Agree, smartphone/handphone camera always sucks, it may be acceptable but don't take it and use as your main camera. 3) Agree as well, if you read articles and reviews about it, definitely don't need explanation. 4) It is rated in 21fps, so regardless of the resolution, the video recording is still crappy, any video recording that is rated under 29.97fps which is the DVD rating, it sucks. 5) Nothing much need to say about it, that's the reason I wanted so long to have a HTC android phone. |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Mar 22 2011, 10:50 AM) 1) When u use one, then u'll know...it's one of the Android's worst problem...you simply can't install anything once internal storage is full with apps and data cache. 1) What I don't know is that how big is an app could be? Because in my Nokia 5800 case, there's only less than 100MB internal phone storage needed to store messages, contacts, apps and files. But Symbian apps usually used around average of 500KB to 1MB. So still consider okay and can store above 40 apps if you store files in Micro SD, so no big problem installing apps (Of course you still can install apps in Micro SD as well), so if you say IS have around 400MB to 500MB left, if apps only used around average 10MB to 20MB, I think that is still consider fine.2) yes, but HTC is super suck. I've used Samsung Omnia 2, SAmsung Wave 2 and HTC Desire. Samsung photos simply pawns all HTC including DHD. HTC camera tends to give bad color reproduction...red turns to purple...just plain bad. 3) Actually, 24fps video is pretty ok. Not sure about the IS, but my desire is hopeless in 720p....it lags in recording....useless. Compared to the butter smooth 30fps Wave 2....no fight at all. But if you talk about overall usage experience, HTC Sense is still the best. 2) If you are not into photography and video recording, then nothing much need to say, if you are, then you know the difference. |

QUOTE(sbd @ Mar 22 2011, 12:29 PM) I don't think it has anything to do with OS; the Galaxy S when shipped with 2.1 can do video calls. This was almost a year ago. Of course Nokia phones have been doing this for years now. It is the OS problem, SGS have it because Samsung developed on their own android phone.Stock android doesn't have this function yet, which HTC didn't follow Samsung footstep to develop this function. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Mar 22 2011, 01:10 PM) The htc Incredible back plastic cover is worse than Galaxy S. It is very soft and fragile - taking it off I worry it will break , not well designed Tough or not I think it should be the same built quality as Desire, and another thing, how often do you detached the back cover? Once a day?Talking back at the touching feels of the back, it is totally personal preferences. |

QUOTE(dinraxxx @ Mar 22 2011, 04:30 PM) wait, so the sound is not loud? Not like the touch pro 2?If this compare to Galaxy S, which one is louder?Coz I'm considering getting this next week. The speaker doesn't really giving satisfaction, that's what I heard and most review says so as well. Added on March 22, 2011, 4:31 pm you got the monthly quotation from digi?Thinking of getting from Digi too Some even say if you put it in a bag, you might not noticed the ring tone at all. If you are not in contract, can try Digi Smart plan, RM68/month not literally speaking to be unlimited, it still have an quota at 3GB, but they won't charge you any extra, just reduced your speed. Not including call, sms, mms fees though. |

QUOTE(dinraxxx @ Mar 22 2011, 04:38 PM) haha.same.I'm now confused to save RM 200 more to get this phone or just get the samsung galaxy captivate or vibrant and sl.But captivate has aluminium build compare to other sgs.But I prefer Incredible for it's looks and etc.Especially that rotating touch sensitive buttons(viewing pics and browsing the net) Nothing is cheap lor, cz taking maxis data plan you need to take care of your usage always, If exceed, you might need to pay a lot. Added on March 22, 2011, 4:40 pm wah RM 68...kinda expensive if not include monthly calls.I'm still a student.Never use plan at all.Just worry if I buy this phone using my maxis prepaid on it will drain my credit like my previous HTC magic and Hero. Unless you only go into internet, check mail and stuffs with WIFI, nothing else can actually beat the price of DIGI so call unlimited smart plan. |

QUOTE(dinraxxx @ Mar 22 2011, 04:55 PM) oh I see.3gb quota.I just only update my email that's all.Sometimes go on wifi if seriously needed the net.but let say if I use less data, would they charge me less or just the actual price they offer for the plan?If too complicated then I just have to consider saving extra and get the sis by next month rather than ap.And RM 68 plan, how many hours for talktime do they offer? It's better you check out Digi Smart Plan. |

QUOTE(REDDEVIL31 @ Mar 23 2011, 01:42 AM) will IS have the same plan as DHD? Depends on your internet usage.i check the plan for DHD before, pay RM68 for unlimited net surf, not including call, sms, mms bla bla... not like i phone plan, u pay certain amount, including internet+free calls+free sms+free mms... so for me, the plan is not so interesting. for those who bought DHD, most of u sign digi plan? DIGI currently have promotion for phone bundle for only a few models, DHD is in the list, having RM40 rebate on internet plan for first half year if you subscribe the Smart Plan. But since Smart plan quota is at 3GB, but if you only use average of 500MB usage, that is quite no point for you to subscribe Smart plan, It's better you take maxis 500MB internet plan. Digi Smart Plan Lite quota at 300MB. Maxis have 500MB, 1.5GB, 3GB internet plan. |

QUOTE(soitsuagain @ Mar 26 2011, 02:28 PM) This phone is ridiculous though, not even watching 3D, you can take 3D photo and 3D video as well. And why the frequency written in GSMArena is different from PhoneArena? This phone supposed to be a 4G phone and does not support frequency band at 850Mhz and 900Mhz. This post has been edited by Json188: Mar 26 2011, 03:03 PM |
